Don't forget, this is the same guy who took kenya to semi-final in 2003 world cup. He seems to have eye for the talent and looking at the India A selection, he making right decisions. Guess what, most of his selections concur with ICFers. Slowly but surely, we will be NO 1 in test cricket. May be 2 years from now.....
G_B_ Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 2 years it a bit too early IMO. As of now England and SA are better than us. However in 4 years time IMO we should be aiming for the top. A lot of things need to happen for us in that time, its no given. In 4 years though many England and SA players will call it quits IMO. Trott KP Swann etc.

We cant expect to play there once in 4 years or so and pose a challenge to them. Hope BCCI makes sure that our players play often in those conditions because many of the players in our team are inexperienced.

You barely win any tests even at home and couldnt win series against Kiwis. :cantstop: You can only win against Pakistan which is an even worse test team.

I can agree on that abouth their ODI team but Pakistan in tests on Asian conditions are surely better, especially with their patient batsmen like Shafiq, Misbah, Younis, Azhar, Jamshed.
