SLICKR392 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Pretty much the same story as their Int. matches. A guy bats until the late 40 overs at a SR of 40 while others around him fall like a pack of cards.
FischerTal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 hopefully warrier doesnt go the abey kuruvilla way
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Bowlers wih good FC experience not picked in the 11 - Harshal Patel' date=' Ankit Rajpoot, Vikas Mishra instead we have Bumrah and Akshar Patel.[/quote'] Bumrah can be a future star for India, bowler with an unorthodox action. We rarely have such unorthodox bowlers in our cricket.
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 His action has been compared to dale steyn and 6'5inch tall so good bounce also :giggle: No. Not at all like Steyn at all and only 6'3".
jalebi_bhai Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 How would you guys describe Warrier as a bowler?? I mean does he swing it or seam or both or more of a hit-the-deck kind of bowler???
FischerTal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 How would you guys describe Warrier as a bowler?? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cizYOS4WzaY]Zol four runs, S Sandeep Warrier to VH Zol 4 runs - YouTube[/ame]
surajmal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Early to mid 130s with a potential to surely get faster. Should be bowling 135+ consistently if he sorts out a few technical glitches. More like needs to put some muscle on. Other than Yadav, all young Indian seamers look malnourished. It's a f'in disgrace.
jalebi_bhai Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 hit the deck.... Zol four runs, S Sandeep Warrier to VH Zol 4 runs - YouTube Lol.....kitni baar dikhainge???
FischerTal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 More like needs to put some muscle on. Other than Yadav' date=' all young Indian seamers look malnourished. It's a f'in disgrace.[/quote'] aaron is not malnourished :orderorder:
SLICKR392 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Death bowling. :asleep: 48.6 Sandeep Warrier to Mohammad Rizwan,FOUR, juicy full-toss, swatted through midwicket - Warrier's suddenly looking human after 8 peerless overs

It's a f'in disgrace.[/quote'] A little I would say. We don't need anymore Abhimanyu Mithuns.......I'd rather our bowlers spend more time honing their skills than hitting the gym......
FischerTal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 191/7 after 50 overs..... 192 to win :cheer:
surajmal Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 A little I would say. We don't need anymore Abhimanyu Mithuns.......I'd rather our bowlers spend more time honing their skills than hitting the gym...... I'm not saying they need to become meatheads. As it stands, all the young guys risk becoming RP Singh types: show promise early on but fade soon after because the concept of physical fitness never registered in their dictionaries.
div Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 So Warrier is quicker than Bumrah.. those IPL speed guns:hysterical:

On a side note......do you think fast bowlers do yoga or would yoga be beneficial to them?? I'd like to think so.....
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 9.1 Sandeep Warrier to Umar Waheed, no run, Warrier keeps impressing, another pacy delivery that keeps on rising after pitching 9.2 Sandeep Warrier to Umar Waheed, no run, Ditto. 'Keeper standing 20 yards back takes it waist high Been India's morning so far, some excellent new ball bowling, every ball bowled with intent, Sandeep Warrier particularly impressive Looks like good bounce and pace in the wicket.

On a side note......do you think fast bowlers do yoga or would yoga be beneficial to them?? I'd like to think so..... Yoga is great. (you hear all sorts of MLB and NFL players making it part of their training regimen) Helps limbering up and saves the body from many nagging muscle sprains/injuries. But I would like to see Indian bowlers add a little bit of muscle first.
