Clearly you don't seem to be good at it. Nothing wrong using actresses or anchors ,but are all of them coincidentally fair skinned?

Otherwise i would have been sporting Lady Gaga. There are lot of women who were tan in color i have used. FYI my wife is not fair skinned. So stop judging people based on avtars. That is epic :fail:

The actresses aren't all naturally fair but each of them is bleached to look fairer/whiter than the holy spirit.

Pretty much 90% of Indian girls (including who think they are fair ) are not fair. They are tanned. Priyanka chopra is tan in color, so is Deepika, so is Shilpa shetty, so is Rani Mukerjee. i like them more than many of the supposedly fairer skin girls like Karishma kapoor, Kareena kapoor. Features, proportions determines beauty not complexion. For some reason in the village side have this definition fair = beauty.

That is epic :fail: I don't judge people by Avatar .Some put one and forget it some change it like in 6 months and some change it with different kinds but if someone keeps changing it frequently of only 1 particular type then it tells something about their preference

What sort of conclusion is that? :winky: I watch TV programs, current avtar was in response to scarves avtar of two thumbs up. I just googled.. randomly chose this pic. If you think i chose for skin color you are dead wrong. That is the last thing in my mind.

I dont think we can infer anything from that. In my opinion, skin color shouldn't at all matter in dating preferences. If it does, then one would do well to try n improve in this regard.

Not personal choice of avatars. If you want i can wear whoopi goldberg as avtar. :cantstop: If i wear a series of african american woman in my avatar will i absolve my sin of wearing white woman , tan woman in my avatars . :cantstop:

I think lot of us are missing the point here. If you don't give a pass at a dark skinned girl she is not going to get hurt anyway. What we are discussing about how people give special treatment to fairer skin people and how they get obsessed over having a fair skinned baby.. not just girls.. even boys. Not giving a pass at ugly girl is not going to harm her anyway much like not giving a pass at a dark skinned girl.

That we cant infer anything from baby choosing x colored dolls.

We grew up in an environment where western nations with a caucasian majority have done significantly better than other countrirs. Their cultural icons have enjoyed more widespread coverage in media than those from other races. Hence the Caucasian skin colour and facial features are considered to be desirable. If we had grown in an environment where the domination nations were African or Chinese or Indian for many centuries, the society's perception of beauty would have been influenced by them. Except symmetry in facial structure, there is nothing absolute about beauty, especially skin color. It all lies in the eyes of the beholder and what society perceives to be beautiful.
