If you don't find a way to argue against me, why use someone else post to ascribe something to me. That's why I had mention you ppl need to behave a bit like grown up or go and stick to Big Boss thread. Most babies would pick a white doll instead of a black one in a random test. What does one infer from that ? BTW Indian television sucks donkey b@lls while on the topic. The actresses aren't all naturally fair but each of them is bleached to look fairer/whiter than the holy spirit.

Implying that a preference for fair skin is instinctive, further adding to Clarke's initial post about the doll experiment. So either you were swayed by his fallacious claim or it strengthened your existing beliefs. Which is it? Extremely poor cover up job. Once again you got it handed back to you. My natural instinct comment was on dating preferences thing. Your dating preferences are natural thing which you don't develop for political correctness sake. Any body would have some predispositions naturally for certain attributes . Some would like pointy elbows some would not. :cantstop:. I don't see any reason why one should make an extra attempt to change that. My question in earlier post about, nature and nurture thing, was pretty genuine. And if matters to aggrieved sense of your morality, let me tell you. I am definitely on the darker side without any qualifier.

Natural instincts are not the same as personal preferences. Personal preferences are purely the prerogative of the individual but when you claim something is a natural instinct it means he/she was born with it (e.g. sexual orientation) and was not acquired.

Lets consider Indian girls only and ignore the rest of the world for now. If one says that he likes to date fair girls only, ofcourse thats his choice and he is free to do whatever. But I'd think he is being narrow minded. My cousin is seeking fair-skinned girl for marriage, I tell him to his face that he is being narrow minded. The answer to nature Vs nurture thing when is comes to dating/marrying choices is most definitely nurture.

What is your definition of natural instinctive things? People are free to date anyone they want with whatever physical characteristics they want. The debate here is whether a preference for fair skin among Indians is natural (people born with it) or nurture (due to their upbringing). If you claim that people in India are born with a preference for fair skin, then it is a scientific claim which needs to be backed by a source.
