Crookbond Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Current generation phones do not have enough memory to take advantage of 64 bit.64bit apps & games are rare on computers so with limited ram its will have minimal impact n this generation .Also impact on battery life will be minimal as memory consumption will increase on one hand .it actually may decrease battery life. Rare? 64-bit applications are only but the standard these days. There are 32-bit alternatives available but that doesn't mean 64-bit apps are "rare". All this is moot however as iPhone 5S already claims to provide 25% more batter than the iPhone5.

I meant whole lot of things like browsers, music players, video players, open source softwares still exist in 32 bit with 64 bit versions unstable.Really apps which use lot of memory like photohsop, video editing ,autocad and stuff will benefit from 64 bit.Every generation there has been battery improvement .

I use Chromium, Firefox, iTunes, VLC, Eclipse (Programming IDE) etc. and all of them are working on stable 64-bit. The presence of 32-bit is for backward compatibility and will soon lose its significance. What you said held true like 1.5 years earlier but the bell is skewed towards 64-bit now.
StriKe Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Apple stock takes a hammering in the aftermath of iPhone 5s/5c event The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c might be the “most forward thinking” offerings out there according to Apple, but it seems not everyone is so excited about them. Wall street has been rather disappointed by last night’s event it seems and has reduced the support for Apple’s stock. The Apple shares’ price dropped by 2.28% in the immediate aftermath of the event and have slid a further 2.31% in pre-market trading today. This means the company lost some cool $20 billion of its marketing capitalization. It’s anyone’s guess where the Apple stock will be heading now and much of that will depend on the early market performance of the iPhone 5s and 5c. It is particularly interesting to see how the two will fare in China now that Apple has finally agreed a deal with the country’s largest telecom (expected to be officially confirmed later today). Android ftw

GolGappe Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Major let-down. Cosmetic changes. Watch how Samsung, HTC, LG, and Nokia will continue to eat their smartphones market share.
Sachin=GOD Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 as usual a lot of hype but nothing new/innovative from overrated Apple.

GrandMasterSaxy Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 There has to be an option of deactivating the finger print login and use the normal pin code login, keeping in the mind the disabled masses. rkt.india Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 More mega-pixels does not mean better photos. The goal is to take better photos - . More mega pixels mean in a good camera module which includes everything like lens, sensor, camera algorithms and take good photos, you will have more details in the pics taken. Compare an HTC One and an S4 pictures in terms of detail and you will get your answer. Though Iphone 5 camera was already one of the best in the market along with S4 except low light shots and it will get better in 5S with wider aperture and bigger pixels. HTC one has decent low light shots, but it lacks the details because of low pixel count. Here is the comparison. http://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=3&idPhone1=5125&idPhone2=5313
