Both the Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald reported the bizarre actions that continued an ugly series, which has its fifth game at Vadodara on Thursday. However, neither Chris Broad, the match referee, or Lalchand Rajput, India's manager, were aware of the Sreesanth-Symonds incident. Rajput said Sreesanth had been talked to about his behaviour in the early part of the series. "He was told that he has been playing international cricket for long enough now that he should know what is right and wrong," he told the Herald. Ravi Shastri's sledge comes to mind... on the 91-92 tour of Australia, the Aussie 12th man was yapping at him about coming down the track. Shastri's response was "If you could play as well as you talk, you wouldn't be the f*cking twelfth man."

Does anyone seriously believe our team mgmt or the BCCI is trying to discipline Sreesanth, the way media portrays it. No player with the experience (or inexperience) of Sree would risk his career for such verbals. He is doing it with the full blessings from the babus & the team. All this public talk of disciplining him et al are just plain PC bull dust.

I think agression is natural to sreesanth though he must pick his opponents when he wants to sledge.

No sane team management would risk him getting into trouble with the match refree just for some loud-mouthing. That is just too much of a riske to take. And Sreesanth toned down his antics markedly in the third one-dayer , just 2 days after someone from the BCCI openly came out against it.

while funny i highly doubt something like this even happened. the cameras would have caught this if there was a confrontation. dont forget which media cricinfo is quoting from. they were the same aussie media that possibly made up the story about the aussie team bus having a rock threw right into the window. and lets not forget them underreporting about their team's debacle in the 20/20 world cup...

Salaa..do take ka bowler and trying to act like as if he is Malcolm Marshall staring down a newbie. Unfortunately, unlike Marshall, Sree is neither good enough nor intelligent enough to just let his bowling and staring do the talking. Guy's gotto act like a monkey on field and off it. Here's some advice for Sree- before even THINKING of yapping like an idiot without a brain, at the very least, try dismissing Gilly,Matty,Symonds and Punter atleast a few times and not being torn a new hole by them.

Love it! :dance: What are the powers-that-be gonna do to XII th man :finger::finger: The reason why players get penalised is because it is caught on camera(and sometimes on microphone too). Hard to get away from that. How in the world would anyone ever prove that SS said this to Symo(or not?). And frankly BCCI/ICC/ABC wouldnt want to get involved simply because if they started to get involved with issues off the field where does it end?? Go for it SS, you have my vote. And as much as I would like you take wickets too, your aggression doesnt come with a clause for me..Give it to Aussies. xxx
