So team batting first is mostly has advantage and this is the main reason Dhoni asks for pitches which help spinners get turn from day 1 to negative the toss advantage. BD pitches are slow mostly and not for stroke makers.This does not answer my question at all. In case you need a repetition: Is there any evidence that Indian pitches are flatter than say Australia or WI or SA or the rest of the world?

Windies have a decent all round team now with some match winners and our team is really up in the air with nothing settled.I think its going to be a good series. But I think India will win it. I think the team will want to carry Sachin on for one last series and win it.

Because one doesn't need such data to determine whether pitches in India favor batsmen for first 2 days then starts deteriorating and helps spinners, so batsmen mostly dominate for first two days. Do you need a data for that? A lot of big scores in first innings of a test match are a testament to that.

Pitches all over the world are more or less consistent to batsmen and bowlers. Most pitches around the world are good for batting on day 2 and 3 of a Test match including in India. I want to know if you have anything relevant to back your assertion that Indian pitches are flat. Almost all Test wickets offer a period for batting (usually the first innings) and a period for bowling (usually the second innings). How are you saying that Indian pitches are flatter compared to others?

Windies have a decent all round team now with some match winners and our team is really up in the air with nothing settled. Nah, I think WI is a decent team now a days but I think they will get eaten alive by spin as most touring teams do. Will be surprised and disappointed at anything less than 2-0.
