what do you mean nothing changed? Zaheer Gambhir Sehwag Bhajji Yuvi have been removed from the test team Dravid and Laxman retired. Sachin is about to call quits. That is a sea of change. The players that took part in the 8-0, very few remain. Infact you compare the team that took to the field for the 2011 world cup and the Indian team today you will see Sachin, Gambhir, Sehwag, Munaf, Nehra, Sreesanth, Chawla, Bhajji, Zaheer not there. That is 9 out of 15 players in the squad. In the champions trophy it was 10 out of 15 players. India under Sandeep Patil has been going through a bit of a selection revolution. While Dhoni will not be removed. I think rest everybody is fair game under the Patil selection commission.

we don't have 155 kmp bowlers. But we do have 140 plus bowlers. Yadav, shukla, Aaron, dhawal, suyal, Sandeep warrier are capable of bowling at good pace. Allowing bowlers like Vinny, unadkat are just disgrace . btwn, how s this wrist slittting? I just want to see the trundlers dropped forever and I am ok with India losing to Australia 7-0 if it awakes our selectors.

People are getting fussed too much. We do not have any great genuine pacers in India and people we have are young and inexperienced, so keep expectations down wrt pace bowling in India as we are already used to it. We are still far behind in this regard to Aus, SA, England, and WI.

BTW I like to say i sort of agree with Zanjeer. How long are we going to persist with Ishant Sharma now? Nobody is saying that India have replacements on the bench who are world class bowlers. With our batting line up imo we need bowlers who are international standard. For eg i dont think bhuvi will be a world class bowler. but i do believe he is international class. Ie he makes the mark as an international bowler. Its same for Umesh in the tests. Not world class but makes the grade as an international standard bowler. Ishant is averaging 38 with the ball in more than 50 tests. Should have been shown the door a long time ago.
