Such statements are idiotic. You need to create bowlers who can bowl at death. He said you cannot practice this at nets. If they cannot, then how can one bowl in match situations.

Bowlers are not practicing relevant things at the nets. Dhoni, for all his captaincy exploits, gives the impression that his tactical side and talent identification are very weak.
Old guy Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 The worrying part this that our kaptaan Saab is saying repeatedly that " their pacers are better and faster ", "we are medium pace, " YET he is doing nothing to rectify this. heh...funny part is we had those pacers but our kapttan then wants them to bowl like medium pacers johnson is perfect example of erratic fast bowler but his captain will never drop him for that or ask him to concentrate on line and length like watson. on his off days johnson will leak runs but when he gets it right he wins game now that he has matures off days are far less than good days and umesh should have been developed like this but he is out of team and ishant and vinay who do worse then him jsut because they bowl line and length are still in team
