Comparing Today to 50 Over WC Finals Day Morning? Compare today to what you were feeling on the morning of WC 2011 Finals? Do you feel the same excitement ? Same nervousness ? Same fear ? Same Jangling of the Nerves? Personally, my feelings are not even 10% of what it was on the 2011 Finals Morning. In 2007 it was even worse. It was a complete non-event for me. It was a Tamasha Cup at that time. But going through the Tweets and CI Comments, I see people are taking this very very seriously. Apparently even Google has a Doodle honoring this day -- though I did not see it here in the USA.

no. That was world cup! that had to be won in Mumbai with Sachin playing his last wc game..this is world t20 that we have already won and is not the cricket world cup. You dont get called world champions of cricket if you win world t20..

I agree ..In T20 , I think World T20 event does not somehow have the "Same buzz " , " importance " and being a biennial event , I am not sure it can rank in the same league as WC in ODI .

Nothing compares to 2011 World Cup win. With that win, I felt like we achieved something extraordinary that will never be compared. Winning a World Cup at home after 28 years and also being Sachin's last WC was something amazing. Everything else is small fish. I'm being 100 % honest in saying that I feel today's game is like any other game. Will be very happy if we win but not even 1 % nervous.

It had nothing to do with Sachin. I wanted it won. PERIOD. Anything less and I would have been extremely dis-appointed. I was even excited and nervous in 2003 , even though it was more a hope against hope situation against a ruthless Australia. But today, it is more like Mehhhh -- if we win well and good, another trophy to add to the shelf, if not -- move on. The win does not prove anything to me.
