FischerTal Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Sanjay bangar and khurasia What about robin?
bones Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 McGrath and Gilchrist followed by Imran Khan. I'm afraid I prefer the so called game changers to the game setters. Whilst Kallis and Gavaskar were immense, I feel the two Aussies above changed games like no others in their era. Imran was collosal for a period of time in both aspects. I would even go so far as to drop the extra batsman to play Khan and Gilly at 6/7.
Detonator Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Can this team would be able to beat the wisden's xi? :hmmm: Adam Glichrist, Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid, Steve Waugh, Jacque Kallis, Richard Hadlee, Kapil Dev, Imran Kahn, Muralitharan, Glenn McGrath
vvvslaxman Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Underwood was like fast spin. It would skid a lot. He was nowhere close to Warne, Muralithdaran and top class spinners but he was a skiddy spinny pace bowler thing that would be hard to keep to. Stats with keeping imo aren't really the best indicator. I go by watching them because you can tell who is good and who is average like Wade. Haddin has a lot of dismissals as well and apparently averages 4.6 per match. So yeah Stats. He was dangerous on sticky and dodgy wickets. Otherwise he is nowhere close to either warnie or murali.

I'll counter that team with Len Hutton, Graeme Smith, Ricky Ponting, Allan Border, Graeme Pollock, Wally Hammond, Richie Benaud, Shaun Pollock, Ian Healy, Dennis Lillee, Curtly Ambrose. Having used none of the Wisden XI and your XI. :haha: Hammond and Benaud for spin. Shaun, Dennis and Curtly for bowling with my favorite Keeper who can score runs. I got Smith who if he tons up he can't lose and obviously got the batting with Hutton at the top and Hammond who is Bradman's rival. Lillee and Ambrose to scare the **** out of the opposition. Richie is my captain. Marvellous thinker of the game.

I had ponting and lillee in my original team, but replaced them to get "balance" :giggle: Ur team is very good. . :two_thumbs_up: I think it's still possible make another top notch team with superb players.

Very doable. Graham Gooch Bill Ponsford Ken Barrington Greg Chappell Javed Miandad Keith Miller Alan Davidson Rod Marsh Allan Donald Courtney Walsh Stuart MacGill There are several teams you can pick. I mean I can replace Walsh with Alderman, Thomson, Tyson, Trueman, Wes Hall, Holding, Garner, Bishop, Patterson (Patrick). I can replace MacGill with Kumble, Chandrasekhar, Grimmett, Bedi and Abdul Qadir. I can have Inzaman, Laxman, Sangakkara, Jayawardene, Mohammad Yousuf, David Gower, Bill Lawry, Bob Simpson, Richardson, Worrell, Weekes and so on.
