Austin 3:!6 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I am in Bangalore currently and surprised to see all the clubs/pubs shut down by 11.30 PM with a Police siren. By the time you finish your 2nd beer and getting into a mood, you will hear an announcement - "Last song for the night' :hysterical: All other cities in India, dont have this restriction. Heck even in Mangalore (another city in Karnataka) where clubs are open till 4 am. Mind you 11.30 cut off is only for clubs in 5 star hotels. In a normal club, music needs to be closed by 10 pm. Thats BS :headshake: Crime rate in Bangalore is less compred to other metros like Delhi, Mumbai etc. Only 5% of the total cities population are frequent club go ers. Government rather than restricting clubs, which in a sense restricting people's freedom should focus on the horrible roads, the ever increasing auto fares, better transport link etc.It feels like young peope living under Taliban regime within the heart of India. Why you think Government are so strict about nightclubs in Bangalore? Do you think it is justified? What should youngsters do for Government to change its mind? Please note : Bangalore is my favourite city in India and I was quite hurt with these stupid restrictions when I visited this time.
hhunaeh Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 This is a great rule :two_thumbs_up: +1, if you are not trolling.
Austin 3:!6 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 This is a great rule :two_thumbs_up: +1' date=' if you are not trolling.[/quote'] Why you think so?
Detonator Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Dont drink beer. It gives u belly :D Actually it's better to get out of the pub before 11. It's safe to keep some stock in the house. If they allow after midnight, some people will drink like whales and cause trouble. Also, police need to take some rest and patrol some other places. It's unfair to expect them to watch out for drunkards all the night.

Detonator Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Also, the cutoff time in star hotels is more becoz, they ve an option stay in the same hotel for a night if someone goes overboard. It also applies for a normal pub under a normal hotel. Other pubs don't have that choice. That's the difference. Pls correct me if i m wrong.

I think its just a political gimmick to gain public votes. Bangalore is competing with every other big city in India - Mumbai, Delhi, Pune etc. But only when it comes to nightlife, it looks like a pale shadow compared to others. I remember attending Roadies audition 2008 (for the season 6) and we had the GD discussion with Raghu on the same topic. 5 years on, nothing changed
bulbul Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 ^ It's there from long time , all 3 major political parties are in power during this time.
Detonator Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Austin dude, cops also want to booze na? where they will go if they look after ppl till 4 or 5 AM? :giggle:
Debutant Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I don't get this rule too. About drunkards, patrolling at night in Bangalore is very good. Every weekend I and my friends get caught by these cops at around 2-30 or 3 am in the morning. They will just check my licence and vehicle papers and leave. Its not like they are not patrolling even if this rule still exists.
IKnowU Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 11.30pm? :hysterical: People barely arrive at clubs by then let alone closing them by that time
Austin 3:!6 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 11.30pm? :hysterical: People barely arrive at clubs by then let alone closing them by that time Yes that's how ridiculous it is...unfortunately.
SLICKR392 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 What night clubs? ****ing BCs close it before mid night. Although, there are some pubs open at 1 AM.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 LOL fer rules.Kolkata is better. Who is the ruling party in Karnataka and Bangalore municipality?

NareshK Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I never set foot in a bar or a disco in my whole life and I have no intention of doing so in future as well. Most South Indians don't like this type of culture.
velu Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 i usually goto nandhini or anjappar if i wnat to take strng beer.. at 10.30 waiter will come and ask for the final food order  most of the pubs in 100ft road will serve beer till 12.30 for regular customers.. but they will switch off the lights once police comes in .. after all the customers moved out , regular customers can stay back and drink in darkness :icflove:
SLICKR392 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Which one?? :hmmm: Coco groove cafe. They are open till 12:30 AM and then there is Bootlegger till 1AM. Both in MG Road.
