Hazel Destiny Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Jamshed in for Shafiq Wahab in for Tanvir Maqsood looks good on debut and should play this game and Umar Akmal should be up the order.
Asim Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I would'v liked to try following lineup with given order Shehzad U. Akmal Misbah Maqsood Shafiq/Amin Afridi Hafeez Rehman/Babar Ajmal Irfan Junaid
Magneto Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 No matter what changes you make please keep the comedy potential intact. Never ever drop Lala and get in Awais Zia maybe.
jalebi_bhai Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Please keep playing Lala-jaan and Khatmal.......
deathmonger Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Doesn't matter. All suck. 4-1, then 3-0 in away leg.

Akmal Misbah Maqsood Shafiq/Amin Afridi Hafeez Rehman/Babar Ajmal Irfan Junaid The bowling is fine why you playing Rehman? we can have Wahab in place of Tanvir or go with extra batsman since batting has been let down.
Hazel Destiny Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Doesn't matter. All suck. 4-1' date=' then 3-0 in away leg.[/quote'] Yeah, it is on the cards now, batting has been the real problem We can't help our cuase.
Asim Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 The bowling is fine why you playing Rehman? we can have Wahab in place of Tanvir or go with extra batsman since batting has been let down. Having 2 all-rounders (Afridi/Hafeez) in side, we obviously got to go with at least 6 bowling options plus going with 3 pacers as full-time bowling options in these conditions not making any sense. Wahab stats in 3 matches: 0/24(6), 0/8(2), 0/40(6) than Tanvir in 4th 0/38(6), yeah 3rd pacer would'v a better idea if it was some all-rounder like Abdul Razzaq... Moreover not having a genuine keeper already adding an extra batsman;7 of them in lineup, if they can't do anything, nothing the 8th would do either...
express bowling Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Wahab has looked like a good bowler. Why does he get so few chances ? Could his average performance in this series be due to lack of match practice ?
rixxuu Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^^^ asim u wan umar to open ? seriously? he should not bat higher then 4 . this would be my ideal lineup. 1. shehzad 2. jamshed 3. maqsood 4. umar 5. misbah 6. hafeez 7. any wk/ k akmal 8. gul 9. ajmal 10. junaid 11. irfan 4 genuin bowlers+1 all rounder+one part timer in maqsood. and batting will be deep.
Asim Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 and if I had an option to select new squad & lineup for ODIs, I would go with following 16 as: Jamshed/Shahzad U. Akmal Misbah Shafique/Azhar Amin/Maqsood Hafeez Hammad Azam Ajmal Babar/Raza Gul/Junaid Irfan (btw Gul have made his domestic comeback a week ago after complete rest of 7 months due to knee surgery)

YES... I guess 'for now' he needs more time and freedom with no pressure situation... Currently almost in every match he is appearing with 35 overs 140/5, 43 overs 190/6 etc and 80 runs required at 7.2 with 3,4 in hand... He in that situation not able to play his natural, neither can attack freely nor able to play defensive or rotate the strike...
rixxuu Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 that doesnt mean he should open. he is not great with the moving ball . 4 is the ideal position for him.
Asim Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^ no harm in 'trying' specially when our openers already failing since around 400 ODIs...
rixxuu Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^^i think we should stick with jamshed and shehzad for the time beign. do you agree with my 11 posted above?
Asim Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^ Yes I agree, more or less its same, minus: I dont want K akmal (may b not any specialist keeper for now) plus: we should bring back Raza Hassan in LOIs, he is a decent bowler and still v young I mean if we compare him with Babar as a long-run prospect... Also we need some medium/fast bowling all-rounder, Hammad Azam looks a decent choice...
Cricketics Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Good time for Pakistan to use some players who they have always hyped but haven't reallly put them in a situation where they could get some confidence What's worse could happen if they woul dlose 4-1 after trying some players in last dead rubber game. Hence, I say good chance to promote someone like Umar Akmal and 1st down and Maqsood who has batted well in 4th game. Bring back Nasir Jamshed for last odi. It's a no pressure game so that might just give him some confidence which he needs and might score some runs.
rixxuu Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^^ there are three fast bowlers thats why the allrounder should be a spinning one and i choose hafeez.raza can replace ajmal when the time comes.
Jersey #10 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Go with the same team. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
