Sean Bradley Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Maybe he has the potential to become a leader, but I think its still early days. Maybe put him as understudy to Misbah for a year atleast. Smith had played more than a year's Int cricket, 22 ODIs and 8 test matches before he was given captaincy. That's still early days at any level of cricket, but yeah, i would give maqsood 6 months of probation for a smooth transition.
ravishingravi Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I would say officially the most influential personality in history of Pak cricket includuing Imran, given the circumstances in which he took over as captain and what he has delivered. Amazing.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 He is a decent batsman and performed really well (with bat) when required. He is doing well as a captain (leading a team of impotent players) which is quite a challenge for any leader. After all these accolades, Pakistani fans want him to step down as a captain and many want him to retire from all forms of cricket
G_B_ Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 His main strength has been keeping pak out of controversy.
hhhhdmt Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 as a pak fan, i respect the man very much. However he does not have a useless team. Yes he has a useless batting line up, but the bowling line up, especially in odi's, is very good.
