Maybe he has the potential to become a leader, but I think its still early days. Maybe put him as understudy to Misbah for a year atleast. Smith had played more than a year's Int cricket, 22 ODIs and 8 test matches before he was given captaincy.

That's still early days at any level of cricket, but yeah, i would give maqsood 6 months of probation for a smooth transition.

I would say officially the most influential personality in history of Pak cricket includuing Imran, given the circumstances in which he took over as captain and what he has delivered. Amazing.

He is a decent batsman and performed really well (with bat) when required. He is doing well as a captain (leading a team of impotent players) which is quite a challenge for any leader. After all these accolades, Pakistani fans want him to step down as a captain and many want him to retire from all forms of cricket :facepalm:

as a pak fan, i respect the man very much. However he does not have a useless team. Yes he has a useless batting line up, but the bowling line up, especially in odi's, is very good.
