Yadav has a smooth action, which should allow him to maintain a fairly high pace consistently. Aaron's action on the other hand looks as if the pace might drop somewhat - he seems a better bet than Yadav in ODIs. Shami bowls at a good pace, but his action takes some toll when he looks for that extra pace.

He certainly has gone back to his old action and that might be due his back injury he suffered. This action on Aus tour was his changed action after he worked with Bannerjee which I first saw him bowling in an Irani trophy match before his India test selection against WI.

Was not even a bad over really. Just had1 over bizzare over given to him at death. Happens in odis they went for it and it came off. Yes needs to work on death bowling but that does not mean he was out of sorts, has to play TESTS. Just has to

Bowled well in odi v SA. No control issues I could see. I was clocking 90mph. Looks like many buying in to dhoni propoganda of " O does not look good in nets".

Not forcing you to accept what I observed. And no Dhoni's never said he's not in rhythm, Umesh himself said so. Also helps to sometimes watch a bit of domestic FC cricket :winky:

Umesh did not look bad at all in the telecasted Ranji match. His line and length was good actually. Better than the last time I saw him. Was getting reverse swing. Bowled with good pace. Occasionally looked out of rhythm. Not frequently.

Here is what Umesh can do too.

As I said , Umesh is perfectly capable of bouncy bowling and intimidation from time to time. Cannot do it every over like Morkel, as he is shorter. But can bowl some really quick snorters. We need to utilize him as an out and out fast bowler when the situation warrants.

umesh has to play the away matches in nl,aus,eng.pishant should be thrown out,he will never become a good bowler and zak should retire

Umesh had a decent tour of Australia, but I think he can and would perform better in SA. England and NZ would not offer him as much bounce, and he's not primarily a swing specialist. Hope that he makes the Test team soon.
