Too many in recent times mostly by SA This match is right at the top More recently Darren Bravo's 200 that saved West Indies. Gambhir played for what 10 plus hours to save a test for us in NZ Atherton at this very ground helped England draw. England survived 165 overs against Donald/Pollock. In England SA batsmen made 3 centuries in 4th innings to save a test at Lords during their last tour.

Atherton - 95/96 Faf - 12/13 Rudolph - 05/06 Ponting - 2005 Old Trafford To me Ponting was the best one I've seen.

I think Sunil Gavaskar's 221 is mind boggling.. India was 429/8 while chasing 438 and match ended in a draw !! very similar to this.

I think that 221 does not get enough credit, it has to be one of all time great knocks just based on how poor indian team was then.
