Should Indian team play two spinners every match.

do you think Jaddu can do well and pick wickets on non-turning tracks?:hmmm:
HE can do the job of Nathan Lyon perfectly. He doesn't experiment much except pace variation. he is reasonably accurate like him. Doesn't rely on pause :giggle:, carrom ball, doosra, chucking. He has a good arm ball which will be handy in those kind of pitches.

Nathan Lyon gets wickets mainly because their pacers do well n batsmen look to attack Lyon.won't happen with us

India does not have all season bowlers at this poin. Shami and Jaddu at this point look like they can do reasonably well on all surfaces. Ashwin on pitches that does not turn and bounce' date=' look pedestrian like a part timer. I would rather keep a seamer in place of him. It is also not a good idea to go in with 2 left arm spinners in the same side. Ashwin should not be picked for his batting. India needs wicket takers for all surfaces.[/quote'] India never had such bowlers that's why guy like Pataudi started this trend of playing four best bowlers all the time. is it time to start that trend. These morons have got every facility in the world and they still are this useless when team needs to depend on run outs and spinners for taking wickets. They scored those 58 runs without even breaking a sweat that was just pathetic, 458 did not matter last test either.

That is true. That is why i said 3 strike bowlers. Among the spinners available Jadeja looks like he can do a better job overseas than others. If we can have a leggie that is even better. Leggies can even be devastating in overseas conditions as they get more bounce than a finger spinner. It is difficult to charge down the wicket against them.

If you walk into Brsibane Gabba with 4 spinners joke will be on you. You cannot judge entire bowling crop based on the outings of Ishant and Zak here. Zak's poor returns is understood as he is back after a long lay off. Ishant is one of the worst in history when you talk about overseas. They are not reflections of our other bowlers. Besides Ashwin didn't look exactly the best bowler in our side in the first test. If anything he was the worst.

Bowlers should not be picked because they can bat, they should be taking wickets or they are out of the team. Ohja never played outside India, we never how he would have done if he got a chance. how is it bigger joke than Micheal Clarke and co making 654 with 4 down. or how is it bigger joke than team not able to defend 458. They are lucky they are not playing 4 or 5 tests in this series ,I dont think these fast bowlers were going to take more than 10 wickets again.

was this guy Yadav not part of bowling attack that leaked 654 runs and 610 runs against Australia, now we are supposed to believe that this guy all of a sudden has made U Turn after leaking runs in odis. As Seinfield would say that is some kind of Magic Loogie.
Ashwin was also part of the attack. So we cannot say he is one among the best either.

Indian trundler culture fanatics wont get this. They wont be impressed. They will ssay did not get wicket with these balls, what the point. Better to pitch up and hit stumps But as soon as oppo bowlers scare us to death and bang it like morkel, we say why cant we have bowlers like this, look at aggression
exactly...especially with tailenders...guys will be scared to be at crease

Look, one bowler will never do it for you but you need a balanced attack, a combination where all 4 bowlers can contribute. When Yadav, others let them down. When Zak did well, others did not. If Steyn did not have Philander and Morkel from the other ends, I doubt he would had the same impact. You need good bowling from both ends. Bowlers taking wickets from both ends. Yadav was successful at MCG and Perth.

First test eg. Once Morkel left , Phily couldn't sustain. Steyn couldn't sustain his spell.

I would always give more chance to young bowlers like Yadav and BK and hope they come good than keep on trying tried and tested failures like Ishant

Even one bowler can screw up the entire bowling line up and make them look bad. If it is a thin line up of 4 bowlers with no part timers, then damage he can do is untold.
