Its also funny that both AAP & congress wants a ban on opinion polls :winky: :shakehands:
AAP do not want ban, thats propaganda. In todays PC they said they want regulation and not ban
The opinion poll exposé is quite funny.
Way to influence people.Vote with the winner.Create illusions of high ratings.Truth of opinion polls will be seen in Polls.

Well the same opinion polls were not far off during the recent assembly elections.,.. :dontknow: AFAIK C-Voter polls, they always put very conservative figures for BJP... So it's going to harm Congress the most...

I agree these polls are once again bigging up bjp' date='No way they are going to win so many seats.[/quote'] BJP had 18% votes in 2009 LS elections. So, they dont have much of a core vote base. I am sure that this time around, their vote share in Urban areas will go down like it did in Delhi.

Whenever the numbers of parties in competition increases, the vote share will always be divided. Just to give you an example, even a person who got 13% votes have won the seat in the past. Btw, Delhi BJP did much better than previous elections, so your point itself is invalid.

And this opinion poll exposé is funny. It's all intended to ban opinion polls, and our current government is working on it strongly. And then opinion poll may or may not be truly accurate. But it stills offer a trend and the answer is clear on that. Secondly, even if one thinks it is not accurate, that doesn't automatically mean it is overestimating the highest winning party seats , perhaps, it is underestimating? Celebrations over this so called expose is funny and the intentions over it is against our freedom.

For Delhi - BJP vote share in 2008 assembly elections = 36% In 2013 = 33% In LS elections and in Assembly re-poll, AAP looks certain to take away a major chunk of this 33%.

Is Narendra Modi wave losing steam with investors? - Hindustan Times Are investors on Indian stock markets quietly factoring in the possibility of a fractured mandate and a hung Parliament following the Lok Sabha elections? Most investors HT spoke to declined to come on record because of the sensitivity of the issue but pointed to data on Sensex movement and FII inflows to say that investors now seem less certain of the eventual outcome than they were two months ago. This is in sharp contrast to the last quarter of 2013 when the markets rose sharply in anticipation of a victory for a Narendra Modi-led NDA following such projections by Goldman Sachs, Nomura and CLSA. Consider the numbers: The Sensex zoomed 1,653.53 points or 8.5% rise in the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Since January 1, however, it has been stuck in a narrow range, falling 0.73% from 21,140.48 to 20,986.99. FII inflows mirror this trend: It has fallen from `39,908 crore in the last quarter of 2013 to a mere `1,061 crore in the year to date. 27-02-14-pg13b.jpg The implication: investors are playing safe and refraining from placing bets on the eventual winner. Domestic investors, who had never been very enthusiastic about the FII projection, are now taking their projections of a certain NDA victory with a pinch of salt. “The markets will trade within a narrow range till the elections,†said Kishor Ostwal, CMD, CNI Research, adding: “It will fall in a major way if the Third Front comes to power.†“The markets have only partially factored in a stable or majority government. A lot more remains to be discounted,†said V K Vijayakumar, investment strategist, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services.
Apart from the Media dollars of Ambani and paid online hordes of trolls/opinion polls, no one is expecting BJP to be in power. Exactly as I had expected.

:hysterical: So Mr. who knows all is back. From those stats, if anything BJP only improved in Delhi despite from 2 party fight to 3 party fight. And then AAP taking a majority in upcoming Delhi elections? They need to first answer back all those promises and failures instead of running away. And using Delhi elections as a representation of whole India? Laughable, some of the self-styled judgement and blind faith associated with AAP. Also, don't make your words as everybody words.

Congress getting decimated and bjp losing a major chunk of vote share in urban india. Tht would be my prediction
To whom? AAP? Is this another Yogendra Yadav survey? And if one party loses its vote share even minor amount in one small area , it doesn't mean winnings seats go down, winnings seats can actually increase depending on competition numbers. And you really are intend on using only Delhi for a whole of India? Some naive thinking there and not surprising given your party's recent actions.

the trend is clear. The opinion polls for example picked the trend in Rajasthan and MP correctly as a big BJP wave and it turned out to be true. India has 4-5 polling agencies. They can all be wrong about the BJP, the most of whom are predicting BJP getting 200 plus.

Actually opinion polls in Rajasthan and MP were wrong, BJP did much better than opinion polls. So it can also be underestimation? Anyways, it's all part of a strategy to ban opinion polls.
