Indian seamers after test series in england

What happened to them after the test series in england , they have huge step backwards in all odis , and RP Singh is young and he has potential and he is in one match and out one match, same with sreesanth give them some matches under belt consistently and support these young guns. These two had some very good perfomances in 20-20 world cup and still they are in and out of the team.Zaheer has been very poor since the test series , it is same lack of consistent perfomance which saw him go out of the team for a year. In last match indian batsmen were at sea with swing aussies generated and they was no such movement for our seamers ,why are they not able to replicate their form from test series in england especially left arm seamers RP and Zaheer bowling around the wicket causing so many problems to right handers. The question becomes is it due to the ball duke was used in england and kookabura herebut in england i dont have any idea what kind of ball they use for odis in england. Harbhajan singh has lot to say these days without any perfomances on the field he nearly lost 20-20 final for india and he has been literally non factor all these odis , he is in team as a wicket taking bowler but he has failed miserably.

Zaheer got his rhythm back in the 7th ODI and was hot-n-cold in the series. Obviously, in Indian conditions they need pace to be effective and only Zaheer is capable of that for longer spells. Santh was effective as he was in the test series. So. the verdict is not out yet. Whatever it is, Zaheer and RPS with their pace were much more effective than Pakistan/SA/SL in Eng.

2 things: 1. Cant extrapolate the performance in test cricket to ODIs (we dont do well with kookaburra balls and in general we dont have disciplined bowlers) 2. Regarding Mumbai - I think bowling under the lights at night in a coastal area is different and you can generate moresw ing vs. bowling during day time under clear skies - so wont read much into the difference in purchase our bowlers got vs. others

Our bowling attack ( bar Zaheer) is still young at the one-day level and effective one-day bowling is all about experience. The best one-day bowlers of today ( Bracken, Lee , Pollock, Vaas , Fernando, Bond , Flintoff etc) have all more than 6-7 years of international experience. Bowlers like RP Singh , Sreesanth can only bowl in one mode right now - attack to take wickets. That isnt always the best way , since they tend to err on their line and length a bit more. They can get away with them in tests where the batsman are less attacking , but one-dayers a different story. And thats precisely the reason we must all be hoping Agarkar must somehow get his mojo back. For all his failings , that guy has still played close to 200 ODIs and that experience is worth its wait in gold. Besides , the english are more suitable to fast bowling than the September heat of India.

I have tried to pull last 25 games where these guys have played... Munna only got 8 games... but gives an idea of these medium paced bowlers playing on Indian tracks... Do these numbers say obvious or we are confused......and go on picking anyone we like??

If you see the performance of nathan bracken who is not express speed but similar to what zaheer and other indians seamer ' date=' but he more attacking and wicket taking bowler in all conditions. He is shown he far better bowler than Indian left armers.[/quote'] Yup 4 wkts in 4 games at 5.2 rate in total 36 overs...you are right...:two_thumbs_up:

Even Murli karthik seems light years ahead of bhajji. I apologize to members of ICF for creating the thread "its time for kumble" I pray now that he keeps on playing tests
