Good thing is that we will play a month of useless games and be ready for the knockouts. This format suits us best and I wouldn't put it beyond us to win 3 straight in knockouts.That is true.

But we have managed to get ourselves in similar situation of facing a challenge and giving audience full worth of their money by extending match to full 5 days, with 5th day being most gripping. Kudos to Indian team for doing that. Now question is would we as a team be able to save this test match? I doubt it. NZ would play for 10 more over. Would plunder some 60 runs and will give India a task of facing 80 overs. I don't think we are upto it. What you guys say?

Vijy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Agree. Will prob turn out as follows. Dhawan gets going for a while, causes some wild dreams amongst the more inexperienced fans, then gets out. Meanwhile, Vijay has gotten out cheaply as always. Pujara grits it around for a while, and holds up an end. Kohli comes in, plays a rash stroke chasing a wide swinging delivery and gets out. Nohit plays another lazy waft and gets out cheaply too. Rahane and Pujara resist for a while, then the latter gets out lbw to a full, inswinging delivery. Dhobi comes, flashes around for a while and chases an outswinger gets out. Ditto for Jaddu. Zak plays his usual crazy swipes and is out too. Ishant is around for a bit, and then receives one with uneven bounce and gets out. Rahane is finally out farming the strike.
