cricketman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Seriously. Takes up TOO many dot balls. This is a 7RPO run chase FFS. He cannot afford to take his sweet time in every single innings. puts pressure on the entire batting line up. is it too much to ask for simple rotation of strike?
wanted_desi Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 With him opening in WC, we might as well just not show up.
vayuu1 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I have been saying this for ages ki sharma ley doobengey sent from dil se
cricketman Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 They're trying and trying to make a Sachin out of Rohit Sharma. The kid is talented, but he's nowhere close to Sachin except that he is from Mumbai lol. You can't just make players opening batsmen. It is a specialist position. Guys like Sachin and Gilchrist are freakish exceptions.
BlackMamba Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The deer that caught in my headlights the other night looked more composed than this fellow. And Dhawan -- I have had enough of him.
skindia Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 And poor robin not getting even a single chance
King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Both openers looking poor now Crazy pujara not in odi squad
shortbread Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 'Rohit Sharma is totally out of depth as an opener' NO NO...Hes out of depth as a cricketer outside India!! Dhoni, Please don't torcher us by having this tumor infect the middle order next.
Old guy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 My dream is rahane and pujara opening of gambhir does not improves This is only way we can compete away from home
NareshK Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Looks out of form and down on confidence after SA tour. Dhawan too. Its tough to bat when you are out of form and chasing as pressure of required run rate keeps piling and forces you to play a bad shot.

Getting out of form whenever there is hint of swing is convenient
Pagalpanti Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Seems like Rohit Sharma is trying hard to block first 20-30 balls and thinks he suddenly can send every ball after that outta park. He should play every ball to its merit right from ball 1. If he keeps playing like this, it wont be long before Gambhir makes his case.
NareshK Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Getting out of form whenever there is hint of swing is convenient There's no swing here. Just a flat, batting surface. You would get more swing in Indian conditions than here. There was some swing and some bounce in first ODI but they were still good batting conditions.

And now same here

TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Even Pujara being labeled as a "test batsman" wouldn't waste so many balls in an ODI. He'd probably play much better overseas too.
Old guy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Champions Trophy' date=' WI tri series were in India ?[/quote'] It did not swing in West Indies Pitch was up and down not swing which is rohits problem And champions trophy ..just because match was in England does not means bowlers were swinging the ball Jaddu was highest wicket taker no?
