It'll probably be a 15 man squad.This is my squad:- First XI:-Dhawan,Pujara,Kohli,Rahane,Dhoni,Kedar,Ashwin,Jadeja,BK,Shami,Aaron. Reserves:-Rohit,Rayudu,Rasool,Pandey. Raina,Mishra,Ishant should be dropped.Mishra should be replaced by a far better option in Rasool. Kedar should replace Raina & Binny won't be necessary here,if we pick a seam bowling all-rounder that should be Rishi as the 16th member in the squad not Binny.Ishant should be dropped once & for all unless he finds his mojo back by bowling a lot in the domestics & hopefully in the county circuit.

tweaker Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 After the debacle in SA & NZ,there should be atleast 5 changes in the squad.Players like Kedhar Jadhav,Parveez Rasool,Rishi Dhawan,Jasprit Bumrah should be given a chance after their tremondous perfomance in the Ranji Trophy.

Ultimate_Game Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Rahane shouldn't be there and I would replace him with Raina. Rest of the team looks fine. In subcontinental conditions you need batsmen who can score quick runs and I can't see Rahane do that. Raina should be fine as he wouldn't have to worry about short pitched bowling in B'desh.

cricketman Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 we need to pick whoever is realistically in the running for the WC. we cannot pick every single person who performs in ranji (that is the sad reality) and we cannot drop every single person who fails in 2-3 international games. We need to have consistency in our selection and have all our players be in good shape before 2015.
Pagalpanti Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The XI we picked in last ODI bar Raina (Rayudu should be his replacement). And Pujara should be picked as a backup for either Rohit/Dhawan if they continue to bat poorly.
