Also to show the cricket fans (which he himself spoke about too in the press conference later) that Aaron will not do anything different. Now it's back to status quo and Ishant will be playing the two Tests after he has had enough rest.

It's not a new thing. Captains back a few guys, and often blacklist others - when there is too much of talk suddenly, they'll give that guy a chance just to show that 'this guy is no different'. Ganguly had the same attitude about Ramesh Pawar, Azhar had the same attitude about Subroto Banerjee.

that was after 4th match. Aaron was below average in that game but in 5th match, he did bowl better, bowled 4 overs in batting pp and slog and did well, 25 runs conceded. He was quickest in that match. He is still a work in progress, so are Shami and BK.
