How many of you are sick of slow tracks in India ?

There should be at least 30% pitches which are hard and bouncy and assist seam movement. Rest of them can be flat and turners. We should play weak teams like SL,Pak on those pitches. Like Aus we need variety. They have pitches for spinners like Sydeny, Adelaide and a lot of tracks which assist bounce which is their strength.

There was a little period in today's SL-Ban test that SL spinners turned and extract some bounce although not consistently. That's was as exciting as any average seam bowling spells on a seaming track for me (just the battle between bat and ball regardless of the match situation). Obviously if the bowlers are bowling at 90mph, or close to that with making the ball jumps off the good length like Ambrose did for example then it's a different thing. Quality spin bowling test the foot work of a batsman more, you see more artistry in batting when batsmen score against spinners (they don't offer too much pace for your shots), also the whole concept of deception in bowling mainly associated with spinners. When a quality spinner fool the batsman with the drift, dip and turn that's one of the greatest sights you can see in cricket. But the most important thing is variety. If I see spin dominated matches all the time even I'll get bored watching it no doubt.

Rank turners != Slow tracks always. For example Mumbai has got good bounce where Panesar and Swann bowled at good pace to achieve good bounce and dismissed our pathetic batting line up. But then there are other slow and low tracks where the edges hardly carry to slips and the ball pitched in the bowlers half rises just about waist high. For me the pitch should have good bounce, doesn't matter if it assists spinners or seamers.
