One premier spinner for ODI I think todays games shows why you need a classic spinner in your bowling unit. Rarely have teams been successful in major tournaments ( WC, CT) with part time spinners. Look at all WC winning teams and there will be one good spinner. If India had to pick one spinner for its ODI team keeping in mind the WC, who should it be? Ashwin Harbhajan Amit Mishra Rahul Sharma India have Raina , may be Rohit ( if they love him and still keep him), Jadeja as part timers..but who is this one spinner who has to take the responsibility of being miser and also pick wickets at crucial junctions in big games..I dont think Ashwin is the answer. anybody?

Afridi was going to swing at anything anyways. That is the way he always plays. Only one gear to his game. He fails nine times out of ten but luck was on his side today.

he would not have gone after a spinner in the 49th....he is that kind of a character...50th means he had no option but to go for it. Afridi thrives in such situations. Only when you give him options he gets confused..

ok..dont know about every time....that is OTT.but I took todays event as a sports contest...and one team whose cheering slogan is chak de India was actually f*** de India today...a man single handedly did it. what is so wrong to accept that?

If u don't see it's offensive then it's ur problem but it was just a cricket match where normally one teams win and other loses get over it and do not let it effect u so much have some sleep :hatsoff:

i got my sleep. I am enjoying the loss...doesnt hurt anymore..what hurts is the way we are looking for excuses...well played...superb captaincy...no criticism on the team..meh...defeatist attitude to stay for long if not punished

Those are not called excuses you are the one looking for excuses by trying to blame captain or by saying we under performed ..we did not played as well as other team on the day and they won it's very simple and objectively many youngsters did well in pressure,bowlers did well and young captain handled his limited resources well It's not defeatist attitude to give other team credit or to take loss with little maturity being emotional is fine but do not forget it's just a sport and nothing more and teams win and lose all the time and we currently are playing with very new team which has unreliable middle order which is in process of developing and will take time ...what do u want people to do here say mc bc ? It is what it is we lost now get over it.

The only knock I have bowling spin in the last over to Afridi. he has the least amount of hand eye corodination, an over of pace and he is history.

And that was a strategic mistake. Games cannot be played with same team match after match. Should go with 3 pace bowlers against Pakistan. They cannot play pace.
