Prime Minister Nawaz who is also the PCB patron-in-chief, gave approval for an amendment to a clause in the board’s constitution. After the approval of this clause, the cricket board’s governing body stood dissolved and the chairman sacked. The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination issued a notification in this regard on Monday. To run the affairs of the PCB, an 11-member adhoc committee has been formed. This committee will also elect chairman of the board. Shehriyar Khan, Najam Sethi, Zahir Abbas, Navid Akram, Shakil Shaikh, Iqbal Qasim, Yousuf Khokhar, Amir Tariq Zaman are included in the adhoc committee. Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf was reinstated as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on 15 January. Zaka Ashraf had filed an intra court appeal against his dismissal from the post of chairman PCB. In a statement to Geo News, Ashraf said he was still PCB chairman and the government’s decision would not have an impact on his post. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Asim Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 was very much expected by Nawaz Sharif... sooner or later he had to do this since his appointee Sethi was removed by a court decision... infact he must have delayed this just bcz of recent ICC meetings for which Ashraf was already engaged and wasnt an ideal time either to appoint new one...

Oh Bhai, last I checked PM was considered a politician and he directly runs cricket in your pak land. Maybe in Lahore it will be considered political if only PMs of both countries are in the paying XI
