head coach Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 ICL is organizing 2020 tournament from nov 30 to dec 16. Do you intend to follow ICL games as you follow international games? I dont think many keep track of Ranji games but do you think ICL games is going to be different? It'll be interesting to see the fan following for this type of a system in India...
The Outsider Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I'll probably follow off and on if I have access to the telecast to see some of the domestic cricketers.
head coach Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 I'll probably follow off and on if I have access to the telecast to see some of the domestic cricketers. ICL lacks Indian superstars. Unless someone emerges as one hitting 6 sixes in an over or something It needs to be seen whether its the genuine interest of the game or is it just star-worship that brings Indian fans in front of TVs
Guest Hiten. Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 i will follow.. its cricket bring it on.. Amen!
head coach Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 I think this type of a tournament outside the perimeters of the official Body will define real passion among fans for the game. In England you see fan following regardless of who plays but it needs to be seen how much interest it can generate in India when there is no Sachin or Dhoni label attached to it.
theguyinallblue Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 i will watch a couple of matches or parts of it to watch chris cairns play again...
DesiChap Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Nope not interested ICL will die a fast death
yoda Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Are they telecasting in North America? Zee sports would be a natural choice.
fineleg Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 But Zee Sports is telecasting BCCI matches, and BCCI is opposed to ICL. Wonder if there will be any political reasons why Zee wont carry this.
yoda Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 But Zee Sports is telecasting BCCI matches' date=' and BCCI is opposed to ICL. Wonder if there will be any political reasons why Zee wont carry this.[/quote'] I thought Zee sports is owned by the ICL guys Subash Chandra and co.
suma25 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I thought Zee sports is owned by the ICL guys Subash Chandra and co. yup zee sports will show the live telecast of icl zee sports i think have has bought the overseas rights from neo sports for telecasting indian matches abroad
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 why would anyone want to watch retired cricketers and domestic rejects in action when an Indo Pak series is going on?
