Flip the coin now, if the reserve batsmen had scored runs against Karnataka, easy to predict your thread title would have been "Scoring runs against trundlers is useless."

Of all the bowlers on display Vinay happens to be the most successful one, thus far from both sides. Whether one likes it or not that is a fact. The guy has 300+ FC wickets for less than 25 runs apiece. He earned his India call up. All this talk of Pankaj Vankaj or Tinda thus far is just that, VK is the one with the wickets in this game, and ready to lead his team to Irani Cup win, after leading them to Ranji Trophy win. I was at that Final in person in Hyderabad during the Ranji final, and saw from very close quarters how intense the guy is while leading the side from the front. So save all this non-sense and try to come up with something more sensible.

Success in domestic cricket doesn't mean you'll do well in international cricket. Doesn't mean good domestic performances have to be grieved about. Credit to VK for running through the ROI lineup which is obviously the group of best batsmen outside the national squad. watching guys like vinee,mithoon,aravind and co bowl is quite depressing unless the watcher/spectator doesn't care about the quality of cricket on offer

Watch domestic cricket anywhere else and the quality will be maybe 5-10% better especially when the national squad players are not involved. They appear to be better because of almost international class facilities IMO whereas domestic cricket even if played on test venues in India still doesn't get a similar treatment. BTW having watched enough domestic cricket for around 17-18 years now, IMO the quality of domestic cricket right now is much better in the last 2-3 years compared to what it was earlier! Earlier you had JP Yadavs taking 5-ers for fun, Vinay surely is twice the bowler JP could ever have been :--D

Second looked like hitting slightly out and going over. THird wicket. batsmen was way out of the crease. Wonder how that ball was going to hit the stump. I think it is Razdan. First two looked out in real time, while the third (Jadhav) one ..height was an issue. But a lot of balls were bouncing lower, probably that was considered. Not howlers (inside edges) as someone was claiming. Kar got 2 worse decisions.
