Oh please Dar has consistently been a great umpire over the years. Granted in the recent past he has had some bad decisions but those ICC Best Umpire awards are not just handed out for shts and giggles

I think he has been consistently bad. That is why I have no respect for these awards.

Why go as 'far' as Sri Lanka, RobeLinda? I can't forget Symmo's blatant edge on 30 odd that was not given in a game in Sydney in 2008. Teri-maa-ki went on to make about 160, Australia went from 130/ 6 or so to about 350/7. Cost us that game.

Aleem Dar has been consistently good over the last decade. Obviously it's the howlers that get the most attention. You don't get awarded Best Umpire for no reason...

I dont get it. Why is a bad ump being defended after these bad decisions? I am not saying he is dishonest all I am saying is he is incompetent.
Maybe because he isn't

I think Langer was not out. Here's why When Mahela catches the ball, he very easily throws the ball up in the air. That motion is very difficult unless the ball has bounced and is already in the way up. If he caught the ball on its way down, he motion would be opposite to the ball; very difficult. In my opinion, he grabbed it on the bounce. Now the Aussies going by the fielders word - that's a whole another book!
