Bowlers don't change their actions at the age of 27. I think it was a one off try to get rid of his lean patch - Ashwin will revert back to his original action soon. If he does not, well, he will be on his way out of the team sooner than expected. But wait, Ashwin may go Shastri's way and take on the mantle of a batsman. Still BS. He underwent biomechanical tests around 2003 and was fine with his off break. Oddly his doosra was better than normal deliveries of some bowlers where footage was used to measure elbow extension, and that brought the tolerance level up to 15. Otherwise most of the bowlers would have been chukers.

these bio mechanical tests are the biggest jokes why would any offender break the rules there is nothing on opposite end to hurt his figures if the ball delivered is loose. So they all will stay within limits that's why offer to test themselves in first place once a bowler earns any reputation he will never be called again by umpires.How could anyone call Murali chucking in SL it won't happen and thats exactly happened. If someone screams in the media these guys go and get tested and come back with clean certificates and start chucking royally again. Murali might have the record but he will always be linked with chucking.

R Ashwin bowled one action against Bangladesh and a completely different one against Sri Lanka. Given that fact, what you say shouldn't be difficult. That said, most people don't know how these tests are conducted. If they did, they wouldn't have said the actions were different.
