Why selectors not getting rahane and pujara good for tests only, his running is poor and he is injureprone, cant hit sixes if target is high.he may prove me wrong if he plays at no4

Experts should come out of fantasy that he would solve opening issue
Not sure if u remember but same thing was said for a long time about Dravid. We wont really know until he has been given a run.

He should be tried and allowed to flop....Why persist when proven failures, by only citing examples of perceived potential failures?

Pujara is a must for opening. If can score 50s to 80s at strike rate of 80, that's great Is actually a positive player in own way. Much busier then a dravid for instance. Has shots. Yes not 6 hitter or aerial hitter but then don't need that. Can set a platform

Success in 1 format cant give gurantee, look at Chand,he has amavsya each day now cant make runs even in domestic, even mukund avg 50+ in list A games and he never got closer to odi selection.

Success in 1 format cant give gurantee' date='look at Chand,he has amavsya each day now cant make runs even in domestic, even mukund avg 50+ in list A games and he never got closer to odi selection.[/quote'] yes no gurantees. But lets try and have a look. Rohit is not working, simple. And with world cup in oz, an opener like Pujara may be ideal. He can do a trott like role for us

I'm not convinced Pujara could be a good option for ODIs either but needs to be given chances. Manoj Tiwary could be a good option if the guy doesnt manage to injure himself somehow. I think Rayudu could do decently as well. Uthappa could make a comeback. The point is its not going to be easy to replace Yuvi, Raina who have done it for many years for India. So we have to be patient with the alternatives instead of dismissing them after every failure.

Don't need to hit 6ers if you can regularly score 4's.
What we have been lacking in the first ten is singles. Even Dhawan isn't so good at it. But he somehow keeps the scoreboard ticking.
