Asim Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 :hatsoff: Role he played today... Impressive First-Class batting stats, extremly useful T20 all-rounder... made his ODI debut 7 years ago but hav been kept ignored since then despite more than decent performances in each format, whenever been given an oppertunity...

velu Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 very good ODI player.. padosis hate him bcoz he cant hit sixes :giggle:
vvvslaxman Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I think he does not play regularly for Pakistan because he can't slog.
velu Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I think he does not play regularly for Pakistan because he can't slog. yeah .. he dont have any power behind his shots .. pakistans badrinath :giggle:
vvvslaxman Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 We dont need a slogger. We need a single double guy and he fits that mold perfectly. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk I understand what you need. But he gets overlooked mainly because of his lack of slogging ability right?
Magneto Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 One day he'll be as famous as his role model Jaddu :two_thumbs_up:
veer Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Looks like a team man.. your team desparately need someone like him.
Baasir Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 He is a pakistani Ravender Jadeja though he is no way close to Sir in bowling but many similarities. He has mustache now to look more like Sir.
Asim Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 I think he does not play regularly for Pakistan because he can't slog. We had Asad Shafique and Azhar Ali etc who were never any kind of sloggers but given more than fair chances and were not that bad either but this man in ODIs at least deserved chances ahead of them...
Logical Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Pakistan with their lack of resources in batting sure ruin the minimal talent they have in that department. Same goes to India (the way they treat Varun and Yadav).

Pakistan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I understand what you need. But he gets overlooked mainly because of his lack of slogging ability right? He is mainly hated because he has unorthodox batting style. I always rated him very highly. He is the best young batsmen in Pakistan.
velu Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 He is mainly hated because he has unorthodox batting style. I always rated him very highly. He is the best young batsmen in Pakistan. lol.. he is 29 years , solid 13 years older than afridi

I think we should open with Ahmed and Azhar in Test matches and Fawad coming at one down. His running between wicket today reminded me of great Miandad. Running between wicket is one art young Pakistani batsmen have forgotten.
Magneto Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 lol.. he is 29 years ' date=' solid 13 years older than afridi[/quote'] 29 is young in Pakistan. Look at the ages of Misbah, Rehman, Ajmal and Afridi.
Asim Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 So why wasn't he chosen? No sifarish? :dontknow: what else you can expect when players like Farhat can play for 10+ years having susar-ji in selectors, and where players like Malik, Akmal, Tanvir can get unlimited chances without any justification... I have positive hopes from Sethi though, lets see...

Asim Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 All his averages (except T20I) are mind-boggling by Pakistani standards. In T20s he can be extremly useful all-rounder, look at his Int as well as domestic T20 bowling SR n avg
