Old guy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I was talking about the last game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide' date=' not some patta wicket.[/quote'] it was patta wicket ..its Adelaide its king of all pattas and only place where indian batsman scored a 100 during the whole tour :winky: also a place where south africa batted out 2 days to draw a game :cantstop:

G_B_ Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Umesh is most certainly NOT a one dimensional bowler.
Old guy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Umesh is most certainly NOT a one dimensional bowler. none of my comments were you..you know stuff and disagree one valid opinions and i can see why u want him to play ranjis and play pandey thats fine but it annoys me when people say he just has pace when he always swings and seams the ball with little bit of help and reverses a older ball big..his action is also very simple and really suits out swing bowling he does many things right just accuracy and rhythm has been his problems

I think its ridiculous to call Umesh a one dimensional bowler. Like most Indian pacers he does rely on reverse swing but is somebody who cant hit the deck hard as well if need be
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 it was patta wicket ..its Adelaide its king of all pattas and only place where indian batsman scored a 100 during the whole tour :winky: Yes, a patta wicket where the Indian team only managed to scored 272 and 201, and that 272 too was only because of Kohli batting down at No. 6. also a place where south africa batted out 2 days to draw a game :cantstop: This is the same South African team that's chased 414 in Perth and nearly chased 458 against us, so that's not proving much.

TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 oh please ..are u comparing perth and adeliade ? :WTF: :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: You're right, I shouldn't. On a "patta" wicket like Adelaide's, South Africa should've chased down the target easily rather than bat out a draw.
CG Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Would pujara, kohli, rahane now be dropped if they struggled in a fc mach. The answer is no.
Old guy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 You're right' date=' I shouldn't. On a "patta" wicket like Adelaide's, South Africa should've chased down the target easily rather than bat out a draw.[/quote'] please carry on..i do not have to prove adeliade is patta i showed you stats rest is up to you . also if you cannot distinguish between perth and adeliade, maybe i am just wasting time here debating about seam movement ,pace and swing .
G_B_ Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Would pujara' date='kohli, rahane now be dropped if they struggled in a fc mach. The answer is no.[/quote'] I am pretty sure that MSD will drop Rahane for rohit even in the test arena at home when we play Ashwin and Sir if Rahane has a so so tour of England and aus.
Old guy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I am pretty sure that MSD will drop Rahane for rohit even in the test arena at home when we play Ashwin and Sir if Rahane has a so so tour of England and aus. what makes you think msd wont be dropped ?:P
CG Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 I am pretty sure that MSD will drop Rahane for rohit even in the test arena at home when we play Ashwin and Sir if Rahane has a so so tour of England and aus. There will be no need we will play 2 spinners and 2 pacers and 6 batsman+wicketkeeper. The point was not that we have diff benchmarks for batsman and bowlers.
Lord Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Hes poor in ODIs but our best bet in Tests.sad to see him not play tests Zak comeback has ruined everything.if he didnt,Yadav would have been playing for sure. Also 2 yrs is an exaggeration, hes missed 4 Tests in SA,NZ since his comeback.B4 that he was injured anyway
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 please carry on..i do not have to prove adeliade is patta i showed you stats rest is up to you . Thing is that the Australian bowlers got a lot more from the same wicket that the Indians bowled on. You can't expect Yadav to get a Perth wicket everywhere he plays. He's going to get a lot of unhelpful wickets to bowl on and that's where he needs to show how good a bowler he is. Yadav got carted away in the first innings: 1/136 off 26 overs, easily the most expensive in terms of economy rate. He has little else going for him than pace. also if you cannot distinguish the difference between perth and adeliade maybe i am just wasting time here debating about seam movement ' date='pace and swing .[/quote'] Go back and see for yourself. It's you who came back with the stupid comment of comparing Perth wicket with Adelaide one when I pointed out how South Africa batted well in Perth but not as much in Adelaide. By your logic, Perth is a better batting wicket. So maybe you would be wasting time debating about something you don't seem to understand much about.
rkt.india Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I was talking about the last game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide' date=' not some patta wicket.[/quote'] isn't Adelaide patta?
SLICKR392 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 There will be no need we will play 2 spinners and 2 pacers and 6 batsman+wicketkeeper. The point was not that we have diff benchmarks for batsman and bowlers. We are more patient, generous and charitable to our batsman than our bowlers. Even the good ones. That puts them under pressure.
Old guy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 isn't Adelaide patta?
