CSK Fan Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 corporate india is neck deep in conflict of interest. you think indian cricket is the only place where it all happens? Dhoni IMO does have a conflict of interest. However that does not mean people come out of the woodwork and make all sorts of allegations about him on match fixing. totally different issues. People look down on corporate India. They worship cricketers. We have grown up with cricketers like Sachin, Dravid who put our faith back in cricket after the match fixing saga. Cricket and cricketers are not just entertainment machines but get a lot of respect form people. An actor getting caught in corruption or police cases do not get any flak from the fans. But cricketers still have a great image in India and are seen as role models And this is the first time such an obvious conflict of interest has occurred in cricket. The officials were always thought of as greedy and corrupt, never the players
G_B_ Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 There should be some transparency... If BCCI appears to again brush everything under carpet and selectively punishes players and franchisees then counter allegations are bound to occur... It's not that BCCI or Srini has imposed a martial Law over everybody to let them do whatever they want to, no questions asked. The more you try to hide, the more wild allegations you'll attract... which players have they selectively punished? everybody caught has been banned. By all means ban MSD if he is found guilty. Why not wait for what the sc has to say?
shortbread Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I didn't say there was such a clause in cricket or IPL. I am saying even the most basic corporation has this clause to avoid this kind of situations. There is no way a captain can get away with both selecting players on one side and owning an agency catering to players on other. Not even if he is Mahatma Gandhi's re-incarnation. Now add the BCCI boss owning his own team' date=' selecting the Indian captain as his captain and then saving him from the selectors to the mix and see what a murky potion you brew[/quote'] 100% agree BCCI's archaic law book must have been a plagiarised copy of something from WG Grace's days. The laws must take into account today's scenarios and be made fool proof from this happening again. Srini is taking full advantage of the loopholes within BCCI and Dhoni is benefiting from this big time.
Sidhoni Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 As I have told multiple times and you have ignored, in any basic organisation, even the appearance of conflict of interest is enough to get an employee, let alone a leader sacked. If you are employed, just read the terms and conditions of your employment You do not have to be unfair, the very fact you are owning a player in two capacity - one as a captain selecting the player and two as shareholder in a sports agency is enough for someone to be sacked All these questions are arising only because of ignoring this very basic rule of business He doesn't have any shares in Rhiti. And the sad part is accusations of match fixing are all around the forum but one post mentioning ball tampering by Sachin and the post is deleted. Isn't that a conflict of interest now on mods' part?
asterix Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 which players have they selectively punished? everybody caught has been banned. By all means ban MSD if he is found guilty. Why not wait for what the sc has to say? It's not just about M$D... There are other players too who are getting shielded just because they are in M$D gang... Rules should be for everybody. If there's any iota of suspicion then BCCI should be determined to investigate and punish the guilty players just like they've done to other players of IPL teams... I'm not sure in what way SC is helping the cause by delaying the judgment etc... Im not sure of what compelling reason other than allowing BCCI to get away with murder... Shame on SC...
Yoda-esque Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 He doesn't have any shares in Rhiti. And the sad part is accusations of match fixing are all around the forum but one post mentioning ball tampering by Sachin and the post is deleted. Isn't that a conflict of interest now on mods' part? Hehe
G_B_ Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 It's not just about M... There are other players too who are getting shielded just because they are in M gang... Shame on SC... i dont see how they are being shielded. care to elaborate? I dont see Dhoni being caught on camera admitting to fixing something or even Raina. What are you doing to suspend/punish them on? He said/she said?
G_B_ Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 and for the record the Mughdal report just contains a whole lot of conjecture and basically asks bookies and people like vindoo dara singh what happened. There is no proof. The likes of Asif Aamir and butt were banned cause NOTW stung them and caught everything on camera. With the incident happening exactly as it should have happened well before time.
shortbread Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 It's not just about M... There are other players too who are getting shielded just because they are in M gang Who...for what....and when?! Who exactly are they shielding?! ... Rules should be for everybody. If there's any iota of suspicion then BCCI should be determined to investigate and punish the guilty players just like they've done to other players of IPL teams... Where is the suspicion....is it Sampath Kumar's statement where he said someone else said so?! The guy is a crook himself and under investigation?! How come Kitty's lawyers never came out with such a statement and prove their clients credibility?! I'm not sure in what way SC is helping the cause by delaying the judgment etc... Im not sure of what compelling reason other than allowing BCCI to get away with murder... Shame on SC... Is the Supreme Court supposed to toss a coin and come up with a decision....grow up!! The judgement must be thorough and fair and punish all involved and vindicate the innocent. Stop rambling simply because nobody in the court has decided to announce Dhoni must be hanged to make you happy. I understand people hate Dhoni for his various tactics, laid back approach, team selection, various confusing theories, consistent team failures etc..... But simply dont let hatred judge a person's character, let alon that of the Indian team captain. People just want to satisfy their frustrations about a player in whatever way possible and become blind to reason.
G_B_ Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 this is exactly what i means, I want dhoni gone as captain but lets not devolve into a mob who wants to destroy the man without any proof The Indian media needs to be reigned in. simple as that. Its not just about Dhoni, it also includes the arushi murder case and a whole host of other things. These people are scum of the highest order. They are degenerating to a level worse than the british media and thats saying a lot
gaurav92 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Chennai court agrees. WTF Srini pulling strings Dhoni resign if you have any dignity Why don't you retire from ICF and boycott Cricket until Dhoni chooses to :((
asterix Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Why you guys are saying there's no proof? Are you sure BCCI has allowed a proper investigation be conducted? There could be lot's proof available but I see is stonewalling by BCCI/Srini just because it might affect Srini's foster son and CSK might get dissolved... The stakes are so high, no proper investigation has been allowed to be conducted. Just remove Srini from the scene and see how proper investigation will reveal quite a lot of evidences...
CG Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 He doesn't have any shares in Rhiti. And the sad part is accusations of match fixing are all around the forum but one post mentioning ball tampering by Sachin and the post is deleted. Isn't that a conflict of interest now on mods' part? He has share holding in rhiti sports for a period of time ,I have million times uploaded the image which shows his shareholding pattern by economics times. Also he is involved in other business with rhiti group of companies like his motorsport team and rhitialamode where his wife is chairman, rhiti gyms.Rhitialamode is parent company to other rhiti companies.Basically its a joint venture between him and arun pandey.

Did not bcci appointed panel say g.m and raj tundra were innocent.:hysterical:

moniker Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I do not believe dhoni is a match fixer. AND HAVE NEVER ACCUSED HIM OF THIS. I also never said he should be dropped from odi team, yet some claimed it , I said go back find the post. THEY COULD NOT DHONI should be on odi team These are not randomn claims. If you do more reseach will see they are not. No doubts dhoni is corrupt in sense that often picks players for national team based on rhiti sports priorities and csk priorities. Thus picks players based on his financial interests. By the way dhoni lied to court investigation and investigation mentioned captain with players managt group! That's a fact Then why do you say "Chennai court agrees WTF". Why do you think it is WTF news if court feels zee has wrongly accused him of match fixing? Why jump on any pro Dhoni piece of news and shout RHITI, CSK etc? Regularly dissing him like this on just about any thread containing the name Dhoni but having scant relevance to the topic at hand dilutes other perfectly rational discussions criticising his approach, tactics etc.

Yes the stakes are very very high....and you think Srini or Dhoni is willing to risk it all for earning illegally what is pittance in comparison. Lets use common sense......will Srini who runs a cement firm...BCCI president.....an IPL team....need loose change from fixing a game to stay afloat...and the same applies to Dhoni?! I can understand 2nd grade players, celebrities, team members with obligations...greed falling for this. But Srini and Dhoni...REALLY?! There are a hundred other venues these guys have to earn a lot more money.... If there were 'lots of proof' available don't you think it would be out by now. What there is, is a lot of hatred...I agree.....but for proof...well so far theres J@ck$h!t !!!!
nevada Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 This news must have done wonders for team morale in the T20 world cup. Splendid timing.
