Do you know most IPL teams have not recovered their money and might never? So are they doing this for charity? They can make quick bets to recover their costs and make players do the same. They are businessmen and only care about the money. The entire business model of IPL is prone towards this sort of stuff So wouldn't you prefer a clean, non-fixed IPL as a better form of entertainment? When you develop a sense of connect with the team it is difficult to let go. Meyappan got involved in betting punish him, why csk needs to be suspended, i would like to hear your logic on this. Buddy Supreme Court enforced rule of ipl which was made at time of it's conception that if management is involved in these types of things team will be banned They just enforced the rule created by srini and co only :winky: Link to comment

If the brand of IPL will get diminished by removing CSK then the Court might be pleaded to pardon the franchise and punish the management alone and the court might decide to do just that. CSK might become CScycle agarbathies..but it would not be suspended. Such a move would be regressive for IPL IMO. Link to comment

Maybe for fans of team it would but that should have been considered before playing with fire . Setting precedent that if you fix you are done or showing them only individuals would be punished as teams are too big ? Court will need proof evidence that csk players did spot fixing and or betting..unless they get any of that they wont suspend CSK. And no even the indian penal code gets amended and can be sighted with every passing judgement..if the laws of any institution or society can not be modified with time then you will endup with something like medieval rule of law seen in certain nations of certain kind if you know what i mean. But of course, that means if someone you like comes to bat, he should not be out as rules are only meant to guide So what IPL rule will you break next? should your team field 10 foreign players because rules are only meant to guide? Should teams openly poach players from other teams because rules are meant to guide? You do understand the repercussions of an owner being corrupt?
