BCCI can't pick the interim chief., can they? Shivlal Yadav won't be the interim chief. SC suggested Gavaskar's name or some other former cricket or a clean and reputed person.

Don't think he is any grave trouble.
his influence in the team will reduce greatly though, which is good for indian cricket. you need healthy competition instead of just one person running the show

SC proposes that Gavaskar or some other senior cricketer be named BCCI's Interim Prez. RR and CSK be suspended. No person associated with India Cements to be part of BCCI / All these are just proposals and BCCI has been given til tomorrow to reply on these after which the SC will pass its interim order. IMO Gavaskar can do the job IF there is no pressure from Srini/Pawar/Dalmiya or other camps from within the BCCI - its upto the SC to make sure that that happens.

All other suggestions are ok but why should the Court be suggesting who should be BCCI president? Also, why Gavaskar and why not someone with impeccable administrative experience as the post of BCCI president doesn't have to do much with cricketing matters (though it has been misused in the past by almost all BCCI presidents)?

even i found this weird. maybe they suggested gavaskar's name to show BCCI that ideally, an ex cricketer or someone with good knowledge of the game should be running BCCI :dontknow:

Did they asked him to step down or step aside for a while?
