thecricketer Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 One bad day in the office, and the team in form loses the cup. I strongly feel all the finals of a world cup cricket event should be "best of three", particularly the WT20. So the even when the deserving team have a off day, they can still come back in the remaining matches.
bones Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 That's right, make an already long tournament event longer. No thanks.
Dil Dil India Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 That's right' date=' make an already long tournament event longer. No thanks.[/quote'] Hey good to see you back after your bat first win match their was busted :--D
bones Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Hey good to see you back after your bat first win match their was busted :--D Had India batted with common sense, going after bowlign earlier and not promoted out of form batsmen, they'd have posted enough runs to win the game. That India had bad pre-game planning and were not flexible with those plans, is nothing to do with me.

You spout crap about Nadal and India and try to discredit them in every way possible. Disappear when your lameness gets exposed and reappear after ages pretending everything is great.
DeadMan Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 we know it's not comfortable. because we lost 3 finals in d past.we know It's painful thing to the loosing side. You know it's d part of the sports.:hatsoff:
game_changerr Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 when india lost the toss,u could see dhoni's ruffled look ......match was sealed then n there only
bones Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 NBA is best of 7. So why can't ICC be best of 7? Why are some people happy to have global tournaments go on for weeks and weeks? The ICC world cup and T20 world cup are 5/6 weeks and 3 weeks respectively and for me, both are 1 week too long as it is.
adi B Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 absolutely not.it'll demean the value of the word "finals''
Tiger80 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 IPL after 5 days of cricket have only 1 final , why should Wc have 3
the don Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 No a one off event suits this indian team under dhoni , they play under pressure well , a 3 match final would suit better and more consistent teams .
Tiger80 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 No X-factor in tournaments without KO matches. What are you talking? Barring India all other teams were playing KO matches. You just have luxury to loose 1 game and that's O.K
Marut Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 What are you talking? Barring India all other teams were playing KO matches. You just have luxury to loose 1 game and that's O.K What are you trying to say? That there should be best of 3 finals? I did not vote for a best of 3 because it makes the finals less exciting.
South_Paw Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 when india lost the toss' date='u could see dhoni's ruffled look ......match was sealed then n there only[/quote'] Yes. I have noted this on several occasions during any knockout matches. Dhoni simply gets disappointed with toss losses. Best example is the decider league match with SA during last WT20. He openly admitted after the toss that winning the toss and batting second was the only way for India to qualify. When a captain thinks that a match is lost right after the toss, how would he even have the motivation to play that match?
