Recently Mitchell Johnson's Ashes heroics were a reminder of why most cricket fans rate Tests above everything else. There is no doubt that amount of skill levels, sustained concentration and patience to succeed in Test matches is not even comparable with T20 matches. That does not mean that every body has to like that, otherwise they are stupid. I just want 2 to 3 hours of entertainment after my office hours. IPL provides that. There is also no heartbreak of India losing. Its fun to sit with friends and just enjoy 2 or 3 hours IPL after office hours. Tests don't give that entertainment any more. Now I don't even have time to watch Tests.

If not IPL' date=' there will be something else.[/quote'] Actually sports are lot more than that for many people here Biggest thing about sports is passion of fans ..because of reasoning you gave many people call it circus because it's nothing more than pointless slogging contest between two teams whose fans do not really care about team Ipl is surviving because of stars international cricket has produced and best performers are people who are good in longer formats while sluggers come and go and are forgotten... Also,sports is entertaining because of skill required..lesser the skill lesser the repeat value
