rkt.india
No need of a fast bowling all rounder. We already have Ashwin and Jadeja who can together contribute for a proper no. 7 batsman. This will allows 3 pacers and 2 spinners. England struggles again spin so this combination will be good IMO. Struggle against spin might be in India, not in England. Forgot last time, Bhajji had escape and Mishra's belly was walloped. Even in India, they beat us. Our spinners did nothing. Link to comment
saneindian
Dhawan, Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Rohit, Dhoni, Ashwin, Bhuvi, Shami, Ishant Can we take all our catches please? Link to comment
Austin 3:!6
If we don't play with 5 bowlers, we might not turn up for the match only. It will be a pure embarrassment again like many previous occasions, on the field for 2 1/2 days and early exit when our turn to bat. 5 bowlers is a MUST Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
5 bowlers is unnecessary if we can pick the perfect 4 bhuvi and shami are definitely playing so we need two more ishanth/ aaron must be given first preference over pankaj/ ishwar. whoever performs well in the practice games need to be given the go ahead. between ashwin and jadeja we need the guy who is more likely to take wickets and not the guy who will more probably score the 35 odd runs. this has to be jadeja for the first 2 tests. i would have gone for ojha, but jadeja's success has practically ended ojha's career. sad but true. basically if we see the type of bowlers we have bhuvi - swing shami - strike bowler/reverse swing aaron - fast pankaj - workhorse ishwar - workhorse ishanth - no one knows Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
my team... play ashwin instead of rohit and ahead of dhoni. gambhir murali pujara kohli rahane ashwin dhoni bhuvi shami aaron ishanth if we are dead set about playing 5 bowlers, then we have to pick ashwin over jadeja. ashwin is the better batsman to hit some runs in the lower middle order. renjith
4th bowler (spinner) may not get any of the 20 wickets. So we are heavily relying on 3 bowlers to get 20 wickets. In that situation we cannot take a risk with aaron as he can spray the ball around and can completely spoil bowling plans. considering that its better to go with ishant (coz he performed in nz) or pankaj or pandey. Vilander
Dhoni will play Ashwin so you can cross off Pankaj Singh. I think England will go with Robson Cook Bell Root Ballance Stokes Prior Broad Jordan Anderson Panesar can you give player descriptions for the new ones..robson ballance jordan stokes. What they do world class potential or talent to watch etc.. Link to comment
