ODI series will be decided and won by the team which can field well. Thats how India beat them last ODI series.. Can we do it? Can we outfield pakistan?

Depends. We didnt have Ganguly in the last series.. now we do. Add to that, Pak doesnt have Inzi anymore. He's gonna be analyzing Ganguly's fielding.

But we have the ultimate trump card - Katmal behind the wickets!!! He'll drop enough catches and miss enough stumpings to more than compensate for goof ups in Indian fielding!! :haha:

So, both Pak and Ind fielders might throw themselves on the field for good couple of overs but then they'll be back to their laziness. Batting is the key factor when you're playing in subcontinent

i believe India will have decent fielding thru out the tour....but Pakistan will have some of the worst and then some of the best fielding they have ever seen..... and it will depend on how Pakistan field that would decide the game and not as much the Indian team.....

cant believe u comparing indian fielding to pak. Our's is MUCH better than pak, forget about england odi's cuz in that team we have the worst fielding side possible

India's fielding has been pathetic. Guys like Ganguly, Pathan, RPS, Kartik are awful fielders. The lethargy shown by all the fielders today was sickening. They were letting singles turn into two's, dots turn into singles. That too when awful runners like Yoosef and Afridi were batting. Ganguly's drop of Yoosef was painfully hilarious - a classic case of him making a straightforward chance look like the most difficult catch in the world. At least he knew he sucked and sat his ass down on a chair next to the boundary. The rest should have done the same but they didn't. RPS was crap, and Pathan's misfield was the kind of stuff that would make you want to catch the next plane to Guwahati just to kick the sh*t out him.

Pak dropped more catches than us and that seems to have been the difference today.

Both teams fielded terribly but India were marginally better and thus the result.

it was assam..much cooler environment..and i was disappointed to watch the grass on the field grey.. these people can't even maintain a ground.... a field with green grass and soft earth..looks so beautiful.. something like a flushing meadows...

if this was the condition of the outfield and pitch prepared for an indo pak ODI you can imagine what our domestic players have to put up with on his stadium.
