randomGuy Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 A Narendra Modi-led government could “end up severing Jammu and Kashmir from the rest of the country,†Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah warned in an exclusive interview with The Hindu. The National Democratic Alliance government led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had dropped references to Article 370 from the basic programme of the coalition, though it figured in the party’s own election manifesto. Mr. Abdullah defended his party’s participation in Mr. Vajpayee’s government, saying “Mr. Modi and Mr. Vajpayee are cut from very different cloth. There is just no comparison. Mr. Modi makes it a habit to trade on half truths and outright lies — he actually blamed my father and grandfather for the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, when the well-documented historical truth is that the National Conference was being butchered, along with Pandits, by terrorists.†http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/modi-will-sever-jk/article5986642.ece?homepage=true Omar's grandfather played an important role in ensuring that JnK stays with India when the King of JnK was unsure for far too long. It shows that for political gains, Modi is prepared to alienate pro-India elements in Kashmir. NC sarpanchs get targeted by militants on regular basis. On 8th may(day after polling), one more panch was shot dead - http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/day-after-polling-panch-shot-dead-in-jk/article5990638.ece?homepage=true
randomGuy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 This guy is not even on talking terms with the opposition - Gandhis, state CMs (Abdulla, Nitish kumar, Mamata, Akhilesh etc.) Such is the kind of hatred and degenerative language and tone that he represents.
Yoda-esque Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I think you are getting confused like the Abdullahs , a few days back Faroukh saab himself threatened that Kashmir will separate if Modi is elected Vaise bhi if AAP comes, Kashmir will go
randomGuy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 NC is fundamentally pro india. Do the crucial job of upholding democracy in JnK . Many times, putting their lives in danger in the process and many have been shot dead by militants.

Every party will settle down nicely with the new Central Govt.
FischerTal Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Where was Farooq Abdullah when Kashmiri pandits were being persecuted? Bastard fled to London
add101 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Enough of scaremongering... Just wait for the results and new Govt. Formation... Every party will settle down nicely with the new Central Govt. I agree with asterix. These are just election rhetoric. Nothing will change much. Pakistan will continue shelling on the border, pushing its terrorists in India, India will continue to fire back while the bureaucracy will try to trade with India, and Indian and Pakistanis will continue to spew hatred on internet forums.
hhunaeh Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Pakistan will very likely try to test how much of bjp's claims are empty rhetoric and how much is real. Our braggart future PM should clarify things like he did in TOI interview a few days back, once the elections are over. As of now, according to his bombastic, theatrical speeches he has only one course of action in response to any pakistani mischief which i believe is a weakness.

I doubt the sentiments of JnK govt. and kashmiri people for central govt. will ever be good with modi at helm.

Also why the hell should rest of India bleed to protect Kashmir if the "Kashmiris" have this sense of entitlement?

The first step in this direction would be remove the "special status" provision and treat J&K like any other state in India. Allow free flow of people and goods to and from the rest of India. Allow people from any part of India to freely settle in J&K without any article 370 related restrictions. People from rest of India have sacrificed far too much and have earned this right. Article 370 flies in the face of such sacrifices.

ABV was pushed a few times but he managed to hold it back. I dont think Modi has said anything wrong so far or anything aggressive.
