Sachin=GOD Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 ^ fair point. One more thing - right now BJP should not look to form the Govt. in any state, be it Uttrakhand or Bihar or Jharkhand etc, rather they should try to have fresh elections in each of these states alongside state elections in October - this way they can easily win these states for 5 years and with a proper majority rather than being on the mercy of independents etc.

G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 looks like Suhsil Modi has asked the speaker to physically verify if Nitish kumar has the numbers. bold aggressive move http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/physically-verify-jd-u-mlas-bjp-bihar-governor/1/362463.html

Currently, it is 89 for Bihar but as 4 MLAs have become MPs, so it is in reality only 85. Similarly case for Delhi, the real number is much lower. Thus, it's all a wait and watch game being played by BJP.
Sachin=GOD Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 BREAKING: JD(U) names Bihar minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to succeed Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister: Sharad Yadav. Another remote control Govt. Smart move by Nitish - JDU will most certainly not win the Assembly Elections next year and the entire responsibility of the loss will be put on the new CM. BTW this guy Jitan Ram Manjhi was the SC & ST minister in the Govt. - they just found an unknown, completely non-influential guy and made him CM. He is also a a musahar (mahadalit) so Nitish again playing caste politics....
adi B Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 So manjhi is the new cm of bihar..I am thinking on behalf of people of bihar who voted for a bjp-jdu alliance back in 2010,3 years later jdu parts off from NDA and now nitish himself has resigned.surely the biharis must be thinking ,We didn't vote for this to happen.surely they must be pissed off
Roshanrocks Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Hmmm... I was thinking of a kanspiracy theory where Nitish Kimar resigns and joins BJP through the back door :P
Lurker Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 So manjhi is the new cm of bihar..I am thinking on behalf of people of bihar who voted for a bjp-jdu alliance back in 2010' date='3 years later jdu parts off from NDA and now nitish himself has resigned.[b']surely the biharis must be thinking ,We didn't vote for this to happen.surely they must be pissed off Pissed off does not cut it, it goes much beyond. For starters: 1) At Nitish's resignation every Tom, Dick and Harry was out suggesting a "Chanakya" style brahmastra released to torpedo the current Modi-wave. It is perhaps a sign of our times how cynical we have become that a honest man's resignation is looked at with cynicism. As a Bihari I can assure you no CM has bothered to resign in last 30 years on his own. Perhaps we, Indians, deserver how our leaders lose and give the audience a big middle finger. 2) Bihar's BJP has never posted a single leader of any note. The most prominent leader Sushil Kumar Modi lacks charisma and doesn't fill a Gandhi Maidan in Patna unless a Nitish, a Laloo or a Shatrughan Sinha shows up. Outside of Shatrughan Sinha think of a leader from BJP that is known outside Bihar?? You wont find one. 3) Jeetan ram Manjhi, the CM in waiting, is someone you wont invite for a cup of tea. I should know, he lives not too far from my home in Gaya. He stands in election on one platform only, as an extremely backrward group. He contests from Gaya, like in 2014, because it is a reserved constituency (lets not start on that scam), and that really is his USP. And of course even then he comes in number 3. Now he will rule Bihar. The guy who couldnt win Magadha will be at the head in Patliputra. Chanakya would have been proud. But if any state can bear this, it would be Bihar. Still optimistic.

Honest? why he kept quite for decades without any issue with BJP but suddenly he broke alliance? Why he took Con party support & run government? Doesn't he play caste politics to hilt? this time his plan failed & HJDU got only 2 seats... He may be honest & good admin, but his politics are same like other leaders of Bihar, getting votes purely based on caste arithmetic's.
Number Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 You really think it was an ideology. Comeon man, it seems you have no idea how politics work. Come out of seeing everything in black and white. Everything related to Modi, his supporters he himself is bad man like 80's bollywood movies villian and people who oppose him are like Mithun Chakraworty of 80's movie.unfortunately real life do not works like that. Let me give you the scenario, the one and only one communal blame on Mr. Modi is for 2002 riots, here are the series of events: 2001 Novemeber: Modi becomes CM of Gujarat 2002 February: Riots happened 2002 April: Ram Vilas PAswan Resigned from Central government on Gujarat riots 2002 August: Nitish Kumar defends Mr Modi in Parliament 2004 January: Nitish Kumar visits Gujarat and asks Mr Modi to come to centre and take more power Early 2013: SIT gives clean chit to Mr Modi for 2002 riots 2013 October: Nitish Kumar says he will oppose Modi and since he had enough Assembly seats he cuts off all the ties with BJP. Remember he didn't resigned in 2002 which PAswan did and he broke the ties with BJP when he had all the numbers. 2013 November: Court gives clean chit to Mr Modi on his involvement 2014 March: Paswan joins the NDA. How the hell is Nitish, someone who works on ideologies and PAswan not. Come out of this venomious posts which you are going on with in each and every thread. Modi won with full majority , congratlate him and respect the mandate given by Indians in the similar way you respected the mandate of people of Delhi in Dec, 2012 assembly elections. Some myths busted. Good insightful post.:two_thumbs_up:

dial_100 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I agree too. Nitish was a very good NDA leader and a guy who worked on the most difficult state of Bihar. But somehow all the recognitions and accolades were going to Gujarat’s growth. Ego and stupidity got better of him. Only ego can take you down this quickly and in this manner. From what I hear, they said, he doesnt want to deal with Modi as a PM while he approaches him for the state problems. Straight and Simple. He handed it over to Mahadalit the reign so that when they approach to Central Govt for the package, Nitish can say that Modi doesnt wanna help Pichhda's and Ati pichhdas. He thinks he played another master stroke. Wait and watch. When time is not right for you, and ego is high, you mind also works in a crooked manner.
