Here is the statement of Bihar CM : I ask again : what sort of inter-caste marriage could the CM have meant when he wanted Dalit youths to increase the Dalit population ?
No matter what, giving your "own interpretation" name of "somebody's statement" is outright lying and dishonesty.

Isn't the worship of god is blind faith and superstition' date=' or it only becomes blind faith if you worship a stone and it is not if you circuambulate around a stone or if you believe one is resurrected after being dead. After all it is called faith, had it any basis it would have been called as science. Where is the proof that any god exists. All are superstitions.[/quote'] I heard exactly the same stuff on House season 2, episode 4 or 5 :vroam:

Manmohan did not correct map error to protect Nehru name An Arunachal territory as large as Sikkim or Goa has been shown as belonging to China. Sources say that Sonia Gandhi felt rectifying the map would draw attention to an error committed during the period in office of Jawaharlal Nehru. "It was Jawaharlal Nehru who gave away the UN Security Council seat to China when it was offered to India; who gave away Gwadar to Pakistan after the Sultan of Oman offered it to New Delhi for just $1 million; and who handed over the strategically vital Cocos islands to China," a former official pointed out, adding that "his legacy has long paralysed policymakers from taking decisions that would secure India's interests". In his view, the "dereliction of duty showed by the making of maps that omitted huge chunks of Indian territory was a Nehru-era mistake that calls for immediate rectification".
Some key points from the article. About time with new non-UPA government, that we get to know more about the biggest disaster of our country, Nehru and family.

Flipkart, Textiles Ministry Join Hands for Weaver Platform

New Delhi: The Textiles Ministry on Monday inked a pact with homegrown e-retailing major Flipkart to provide an online marketing platform to handloom weavers across the country, an initiative to boost the handloom sector, empower the weavers and uplift manufacturing. Responding to queries raised on choosing a particular company for the agreement, Textiles Secretary S K Panda said, "What we are starting now is only on a pilot basis, nobody is compelled to sell only to a particular agency. Our aim is to eliminate middlemen, assist the master weaver... After a period of 3 to 6 months we will go for bidding." Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar, who was present on the occasion, emphasised that the focus of this association should be to help weavers and weaver entrepreneurs to produce products in tune with the buyer requirements and grow them significantly so that they may become manufacturers not only at a local but also at a national level. Through this exclusive agreement, Flipkart will provide weavers in India an online marketing platform, infrastructural support in data analytics and customer acquisition to help them get remunerative prices for their products and scale up their business. "This (MoU) will help us reach out to thousands of weavers across India... Through this initiative we are giving a direct platform to the weavers to reach out to the end-customers. There will be no middlemen. The customer will get access to variety of products across India. Flipkart will help them (weavers) to list on the marketplace," Ankit Nagori, vice president-marketplace at Flipkart, told PTI. "We will charge weavers a 3 to 4 per cent commission on sale. There will be no listing charge or any other thing. If a sale happens, then he (customer) will have to pay 3 to 4 per cent commission on that sale. However, we will charge 15 per cent commission from readymade garments suppliers," he added. "This kind of a coordinated effort has been planned and executed for the first time with Flipkart for handloom weavers which will bridge the missing linkages of market intelligence, market access and logistics and help the Indian weavers in getting remunerative prices for their products," the ministry said. The weavers will sell their products under their brand name and evolve as an entrepreneur selling his products directly to buyers across the country without stepping out of their workplace. Data analytics and market intelligence provided by Flipkart will help the weavers focus only on producing better saleable product ranges. This in turn will help them plan their production and inventory and expand their business. "We are confident about the success of the programme and in 3 to 6 months' time we would like to expand the programme. For this initiative the first event is in September in Varanasi where we will invite weavers. Textiles Ministry will help us reach out to the weavers," Mr Nagori said. E-commerce is one of the thrust areas for the Narendra Modi government. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Budget had allowed manufacturing companies to sell their products through retail, including e-commerce platforms, without any additional approval.
Sheer out of the box thinking. Benefits all. :hatsoff: to Modi government.

Pak suffers heavy casualties as govt gives troops free hand

NEW DELHI: Government has given full backing to border forces to go on the offensive in the event of unprovoked firing from Pakistan along the Indo-Pak border. The result is that border forces have pulled out all stops and gone for targeted and precision firing which has led to far more casualties on Pakistan side in just 10 days of firing this year than was witnessed in 30 days of skirmishes last year in August. As many as eight people, including soldiers, LeT terrorists and civilians, have been killed in Pakistan and over two dozen injured in the firings that began on August 16 this year. On the Indian side, however, there have been only two casualties — of civilians. All these incidents have taken place on the International Border in Jammu guarded by BSF. A total of 12 Indian soldiers were killed through 2013 by Pakistan forces. This year there has been only one casualty — of a BSF jawan — due to sniper firing a month ago. "Ever since mid-August ceasefire violations, we have gone on complete offensive, firing both guns and area weapons. We are thrice in strength of Pakistan Rangers and thus have as many weapons. This has resulted in heavy casualties on the other side even though Pakistan Rangers are being supported by their Army. We will continue to retaliate fiercely until Pakistan stops firing," said a senior BSF officer. BSF sources said Islamabad has also deployed Pakistan Army's 12 Mujahideen Battallion in Charwa sector to help Pakistan Rangers. At a meeting held at home ministry with minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Doval and BSF DG DK Pathak among others discussed the issue of escalating tension on the Indo-Pak border. Sources said government is fully backing all action taken by BSF and asked it to ensure safety of civilians in border areas. Pathak said, "We are giving befitting reply to ceasefire violations from Pakistan. At the same time we are trying not to hit civilian areas in Pakistan." The force has been forcing villagers in border areas out of the range of Pakistan bullets and shells during the night. "We are making them sleep in schools and other government buildings away from their homes. During the day they return to their daily chores in their villages as most of the firing takes place at night," said a BSF officer. The August offensive of 2013 had begun after Pakistan forces had killed five Indian soldiers patrolling the border. The killing had followed the January beheading of an Indian armyman leading to nationwide outrage. Forces of the two countries exchanged bullets for the whole month before an understanding was reached in September.

As part of its Clean India campaign, the Narendra Modi government on Tuesday decided to increase the budget allocated for toilets in rural areas. While the allocation for individual toilets has been increased from Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000, those in Aanganvadi centres have been budgeted Rs.20,000 from the current Rs.8,000. Community toilets in rural areas, which were earlier given a meager Rs.2 lakh will now be alloted Rs.6 lakh. Toilets in schools will be granted Rs.54,000, a raise of Rs.19,000 in their allocation. The proposal will now be presented before the Cabinet for approval. On Monday, Rural Development Minister Nitin Gadkari had assured that the budget for toilets in rural areas will be increased.
