mishra Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 So developing world econonomy is going down and IMF urges devloped nations to take action. Problem is developed nations have PIGS in them. In another news http://www.ibtimes.co.in/india-lead-global-growth-2015-world-bank-635483 India to Lead Global Growth in 2015: World Bank For the first time, India is leading the World Bank's growth chart of major economies. This, even as developing countries are now estimated to grow by 4.4 percent this year, according to the World Bank. India's growth rate in 2015 is poised to pip China's, which is likely to grow at 7.1 percent, says the Bank's World Bank Group's latest Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report, released on 10 June. "With an expected growth of 7.5 percent this year, India is, for the first time, leading the World Bank's growth chart of major economies," said Kaushik Basu, Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of World Bank.

Sachin=GOD Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Very good move. Should be done in all ministries.
G_B_ Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 India to sign free trade deal with Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and India have started negotiations over the free trade zone agreement and signed a framework agreement at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg. "The two regions are big, anything done together should naturally lead to bigger outcomes," said Indian Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Trade minister Andrei Slepnev said the country was ready for a similar deal with Iran soon. “I think that in general this whole complex of measures forms a clear picture of our priorities for cooperation with partners in the Asian region, which now have the highest growth rate, and generally support the global economy,” he said. http://rt.com/business/268069-india-russia-free-trade/ good...

Need to revive that to form our own "string of pearls" around China
mishra Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Thats a nice move.. somehow our relations post US-nuclear deal has cooled off with Russia & its former satellites.. Need to revive that to form our own "string of pearls" around China We all are in same boat. Russians treat us if not equal, then at par. With China emerging as new power, American/West arent interested in destabilizing India for next 15-20 years. So why not? Also, Make in India needs resources. Chinese already own African ones. \Germans wont build in Russia or no one will buy Russian ones. So why not use Russian resources to make in India.
G_B_ Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Thats a nice move.. somehow our relations post US-nuclear deal has cooled off with Russia & its former satellites.. Need to revive that to form our own "string of pearls" around China India does not need a string of pearls as such. These countries South Korea Japan etc dont like china at all and are heavily expanding their military. What you need is an alliance. China needs string of pearls cause the likes of SL and Nepal and BD are in no position to even put up a fight. One fecking squadron and SL would be floored. they also need them because their oil from the middle east passes right across the Indian ocean. One country India needs to move on is Vietnam. But apart from them I think China is wary of South Korea and Japan. In the absense of nuclear weapons if South korea Japan and India all attacked China at once even the chinese leadership knows they will be in deep doo doo. Even they cannot fight on three fronts against three formidable enemies in a conventional war even if they rope in Pakistan and North korea. Not easy fighting battles thousands of miles apart. Russia as things stand will be neutral or lean towards india at best. they are heavily financially involved with china. The days of the soviet union sending an army to the border with china during the 1965 war are over....

Allthough above all is hypothetical but I think Chinese have enough firepower to simultaneously wardoff allmost all its neghbours except Russia. Whether they have military acumen and skill, Thats totally different thing. Saying that, they are more likely to go into war with Vietnam, South Korea and Japan then us. The thing stopping them is America and economic fallout.
sticky wicket Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Once again monsoon arrives, and once again Mumbai paralysed. Rather pathetic seeing India's financial and flagship city in this situation...not good for global image, Planes diverted from newly built airport to other cities, shops shut, newly built pumping stations not man enough to drain water, schools shut etc. What the feck BJP - Shiv Sena doing for over decade in charge of Bombay Muncipality?
