G_B_ Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 not trying to troll. But dont you think its time to say goodbye to Dhoni-Flemming combo? Its been 3 years since you last won a trophy. Dhoni's tactics were poor i thought today. For one he came too late as a result of blind addiction to the left hand right hand combo. Dhoni has had a great run. As has Flemming. Nobody can deny that. But everybody has a sell by date. So if you fail to win the Champions League this year. Will you consider changing Dhoni as captain? and try somebody else like a Raina?

Vilander Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hmm maybe...but it happens..see all three punjab games have been freek shows.. first was an ambush...maxwell on adrenalin. Second was a through beating. Third was sheer brilliance from Viru and Bailey.. You play well to loose these games respectfully.. But yeah bowling of csk sucks..but hey its IPL..isnt that the fun. Entertainment is more important that win/loss etc...as long as i can troll MI and you can troll CSK ( not saying u doing it now but generally) we are alrite..

Pandey has always bowled well...Nehra didn't do badly, got wickets... Fatwin was headless bowling, I agree. But the blame should go to Dhobi for not taking the best out of his bowling resources and field placings... Hilfenhous should've played in place of Dhussey... He's got Dhussey to save himself from batting too much...
Zap_Brannigan Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Dhoni shouldnt be the captain of CSK, the Indian T20 or the test team..Raina along with Ashwin, Murali vijay, badri, hayden, hussey, albie has been the best performers for CSK. Dhoni, although a very good finisher, doesnt take enough responsibilities upon himself to be leader of the team. 7 years and just 2 wins. There is no use of getting to all 7 playoffs when you win just 2. Look at this way, by the end of the week, KKR might have just the same number of IPL trophies that CSK has and for 6 years, we had the best team.

We got bulldozed by SRH and KKR while defending.. Spinners overall were pathetic this season For other teams spinners did a terrific job by supporting.. Narine, tambe, Patel, bhajji.. You dont win a big trophy every season then your place as a player and manager is under question. Look at Barca. They finished 2nd in la liga and they still sacked their coach and are making mass changes. Its about the standard you judge yourself to.

The point is everything changes. Look at football. Tikki taka football ruled for close to 5-6 years. Its not been replaced by a counter attacking fast pace football played by Madrid. thanking and tactics go stale.
Vilander Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 CSK is like this clearly dominant strategy in game theory, it loosly translates to take in only what makes you stronger always play to your strength, its unlikely they will sack Dhoni or Flemming and look for other strategies..very unlikely. Flemmings chappa is all over this team.
