Problem imo is Messi is playing too deep.He is dragging to deep into midfield for possession where it is easy for swiss to check him .That should be Di Maria's job. Messi should be playing as close to the goal as possible not in midfield where his threat is reduced As great a forward he is , he isnt a great no.10
