Speeds and Performances of Pacers and Spinners

Recommended Posts

Poor bowling performance. I think the team was in Australia a week before and all of them have toured Australia atleast twice. Should have adapted. By that I don't necessarily mean Australia should have been 100/4 but one expects atleast one wicket in 25 overs after the captain has given all bowlers enough of overs.25 is half the match!!  Atleast 1 or 2 wickets are expected by then.

Bumrah is clearly rattled. He looks frustrated now, but he has only himself to blame. Gone on to bowling a yard short through out.

Saini looks very mediocre. Needs to improve his performance fast, else the management can look at Siraj to replace him.

Saini showed intent in IPL but he did not pick significant number of wickets. He needs to pick them being a specialist bowler. You are correct , he needs to improve performance (take wickets).  Very inexperienced  in international cricket so he needs to be given more time. Hope he does well by improving his performance as he plays more..

It is the start of a new tour in a new country. They are playing on a bouncy pitch after a long time, after toiling hard on low pitches for 50+ days ( where they had to bowl shorter to hit the stumps )

I will give them atleast 1 game to get their lines and lengths right.

Moreover, the pitch looks flat in the first session so far.

It is very flat, but Shami has been the pick of the bowler, he has done really well

None of the Indian players seem remotely interested in playing this game.

I have seen more intent in practice matches.

We saw this on the NZ tour too.

What is happening to the Indian team in 2020 !!

That is something the captain and team management needs to explain. They look mechanical. Perhaps, Kohli has lost his respect and pushing players. Whatever it is, the players are not enjoying the game.
