That's a ever going problem with our experts. Everyone things pace can't be combined with accuracy. Bumrah, Siraj, Shami all are fast and accurate.

 

Anyway, I was somehow happy that Naseem was bowling so wide, I knew he is wasting the new ball and if our batters can survive that, they will cash in later.

Rohit was trying to play too much on the front although Naseem was bowling back of a length.

 

If he had tried cut shots instead of drives, like Gill did against Naseem, he would have scored more.

Naseem’s consistency is the last two years makes him top 2 in the world for me. Nobody does what he does at 140 kph plus. So unlucky with those drops and play and misses.

135 was the lowest he bowled. Often in the 140s. His problem was the length. He did not pull his length back in time. Kept bowling half volleys. Hope he learns from this.

He was bowling on hard lengths close to 2,3rd stump making it difficult to cut

Yes,had he been 135-140 could have been easy to make room to play cut

His lowest was 134..and he was often in under 140.

His problem was the wrong length he bowled in the early overs.

Don't change the goal post please, accept that you're wrong and move on.

 

I have never mentioned how quick Siraj is, he is a fast medium and everyone who post regularly on this forum knows that. I am not discussing their effectiveness.

Shaheen isn't a very capable back of length bowler, his strength is to bowl full and swing the ball. Once that's negotiated it's very easily to negate him.

 

Naseem was bowling well, but I would still say that he was going too wide. He actually wasted the second new ball considering when Shaheen was ineffective.

The point was he bowled an average pace of around 138-139 kph which is sufficient not his optimum.

problem was wrong length.

One thing I like that he makes the commentators talk about his pace. Every commentator is saying that he is fast and batters are late to play him.

 

Indian commentators aren't too bright,I have better judgement than them.

Umesh is always like that, where he declined is his pace.

At an age of 36 he simply doesn't have the gas to bowl 140+ consistently.

 

Unadkut representing us at any level itself is a shame. Selectors have no idea whom to pick and whom not to.

In Asian games as well we're going with trundler army of Avesh, Arsh, Mavi & Mukesh . Should have sent Harshit, Mayank, Hangargekar & Tyagi instead.

I dont know why they dropped bhuvi, if they will play trundlers then he is still our best trundler in t20s.

And yet, Unadkat is playing tests for India and Saini could not get a single game.

The first 24 overs of this match showed that the Pakistan pace attack is being over-rated. They play too many matches against minnows and this has helped them build a reputation that is bigger than their ability. 

 

Our batters should always look to attack them like today and not be too cautious in their approach
