England batted at 3 to 3.5 runs per over in Test 3. And at around 4 rpo in Tests 2 and 4.

 

Which was comparable to us except Test 4. And not that fast given the flatness of those pitches.

 

Suddenly going at 7 to 8 rpo on a spicy track was not a natural fallout after this precedence.
