Also love the fact that bowling speeds r shown almost instantaneously when the ball is delivered. Unlike Indian broadcasters who seem to focus more on some hideous looking banner and useless non real time stats.

Pace is the most marketable thing if not more than boundaries, recognised world over

Only our dihati ballebaaji mentality chewt cricket ecosystem doesn't want to accept it

Definitely more marketable than a boundary. It’s art, fitness, skill, timing in perfect rhythm.

Only two  cricketers(Lee,Starc) that too Aussie in modern cricket, who I have seen ,been so consistent pacewise despite their workload management they have maintained pace  playing for over a decade

Starc has insane bowling fitness n a very repeatable rhythmic action for pace. And Lee had insane talent n obsession n the personality for raw pace.

Starc has bowled every single ball in his 6 overs above 140k. We don’t have a single bowler young or old who can do anything close.

Exactly !

For decades, a majority of the people in charge of sports or in charge of marketing sports in India lack any kind of foresight, positivity or aggressive mindset.

Young Indians are fitness freaks. They love gyming, power, positivity. But cricket has to be marketed to please people who are 70+ or below 18.

Just listen to our domestic cricket commentary.

Unless he is a finished product, every 140 k+ pacer gets a lot of hate and criticism.

While a below 130 k pacer is rarely criticized even if he goes wicketless or is very expensive.

With this mindset, we are lucky that we have pacers who can bowl 4 deliveries at 140 k+ in an over.

We have started to get bouncy 140k+ pacers too in the last few years.  Harshit, Mayank, Prasidh, Gurnoor, Tyagi, Sen.
